DRAW WITH PRECISION
13 tools designed for touch: pen, eraser, fill, line, rectangle, circle, move, clone, mirror, eyedropper, rotate, select, and bone rig. Work with 1px or 3x3 brushes. Mirror paint on X, Y, or both axes for instant symmetry. Pinch to zoom up to 30x and two-finger pan across your canvas.
PIXEL STAMPS
Drop pre-made pixel art stamps directly onto your canvas — characters, emojis, objects, and more. A quick way to prototype scenes or add detail without drawing every pixel from scratch.
ANIMATE FRAME BY FRAME
Build animations with unlimited layers and frames. Each layer has opacity, visibility, lock, and reorder controls. Use continuous layers that persist across all frames. Clone, clear, copy, paste, and fill-forward frames from the timeline. Set your FPS and watch the live preview update in real time.
ADVANCED TIMELINE
A full multi-track timeline gives you complete control over your animation. See all layers and frames at a glance, with thumbnails, layer controls, and inline preview. Reorder layers, manage visibility, and scrub through frames — all from one view.
BONE RIGGING — ONLY ON MOBILE
Spritelove is the only mobile pixel art app with built-in skeletal animation. Place bones, connect them into a hierarchy, and lock the rig. Then pose your character frame by frame — pixels move with the bones. Combine rigs with layers for complex characters and creatures.
ONION SKINNING
See previous and next frames as translucent overlays while you draw. Toggle color hints to distinguish past from future frames. Enable extended mode to see multiple frames at once. A staple in professional animation, built right in.
EXPORT TO ANY ENGINE
Export PNG frames, animated GIFs, and spritesheets with JSON metadata in TexturePacker format — compatible with Godot, Unity, Phaser, and most 2D engines. Import and export Aseprite .ase files. Share .spl project files between devices. Export at 1x, 5x, 10x, or 20x resolution.
