Automatic dark mode. My Dhikr now turns dark after sunset and light again after sunrise, so opening it for Tahajjud won't light up the room. It works from your phone's time zone — no location needed. Prefer to choose yourself? Tap ••• > Appearance: Auto, Light, Dark or Match phone. Also: a bigger +2 button on salah cards, and the Back button on the History tab now works.

Find your place by reciting. On the Surah Yasin, Al-Waqiah, Al-Kahf and Al-Mulk pages, tap the mic, recite an ayah or two, and My Dhikr bookmarks the ayah you are on and scrolls to it. You can also now tap anywhere inside an ayah's box to bookmark it.

Your default worship now follows your account. Pin a dhikr, surah or salah as your default on one device and it opens on that same one on your iPhone, iPad, Android and mydhikr.com.

Colour-coded tajweed on Surah Yasin, Al-Waqiah, Al-Kahf and Al-Mulk, using the colours of the printed tajweed mushaf: reds for stretching (madd), green for the nasal sound (ghunnah), blue for the bounce (qalqalah) and grey for letters you don't pronounce. Tap "Tajweed" to switch it off, and the (i) button for the colour guide.

Surah pages now remember where you stopped. Tap the ayah you last recited and it becomes your bookmark — only one ayah is marked at a time. The header shows "Last read: Ayah N"; tap it to jump straight back there, and the surah opens on it next time. The header is also more compact, so more of the Quran fits on screen.

Counting a four-rak'ah prayer is now one tap. Every salah in Today's Summary carries a +4 button beside +2, so fard and nafl are each a single button.

Nafl salah in one tap. Every salah on today's summary now has a +2 button. Tap it and two rak'ah are counted straight away — no scrolling down, no picking the prayer again, no typing the number. Each tap is saved as its own addition, so you can still correct or delete it like any other entry.

Put the worship blocks in the order that suits your day. Hold the grip on Dhikr, Quran or Salah and drag the block up or down — all three fold to their title bars while you drag, so the whole stack stays under your thumb. Whatever order you leave them in is what the app opens on, and today's summary reads the same way. Pin the worship you always record. "Set as default" in any picker means the section opens on it instead of you hunting for it every time. The Quran pages are now set in the Indo-Pak script most readers learned from. Today's summary gives each worship one card, with the day's total in the heading and the individual entries underneath, so three sittings with the same surah no longer read as three unrelated lines. Long lists fold behind "Show all". The calendar is a single row you open when you want it, instead of a month grid pushing the day's list off the screen.

Quran readings now count the verses you actually read, and the app remembers where to carry on. • The day's list shows which verses you read, not just the surah. • A reading of ten verses counts as ten, not as one. • Tap an entry to correct its verses — the From and To are there, and the count follows them. • The Quran picker tells you where you left off — "Read to verse 40 of 83. Carry on from verse 41" — and fills in the starting verse for you. • A verse range that runs backwards, or past the end of the surah, is refused with a reason. • Readings added on the website and on the phone appear as one entry instead of two. Readings recorded before this update keep their old count; tap the entry and set the verses to fix it.

Adding rak'ah and dhikr now counts the moment you tap, even on a weak connection. Your tap is saved on your phone first and synced to your account after, so a slow moment on the network can no longer swallow a count. If something cannot be sent yet, the app tells you plainly instead of staying silent.

The real Quran text is now in the Surah tracker, salah counts in rak'ah pairs, and history can be filtered by one worship. • Surah Al-Waqiah, Al-Kahf and Al-Mulk now show the actual verses. They previously showed a placeholder line on every ayah. • Surah Yasin has been corrected. Verses 32 to 83 were showing text from other surahs. All 319 verses across the four surahs were taken from published editions and checked against the King Fahd Quran Complex mushaf. • The + and − buttons on the Salah tracker move two rak'ah at a time, the way nafl salah is prayed. Witr is prayed odd, so it still moves by one. • Filter History by a single worship, or by Dhikr, Quran or Salah, and see its total for the dates you choose, with times logged, days done and your average per day. • The summary now shows a total for each worship instead of one lump per category. Also fixed: past entries were appearing under today's date, and the same worship logged several times in a day is now shown once with its total.

Two improvements in this update: Your own worship types now stay in the list. Tap "New dhikr type" (or Quran, or Salah), give it a name, and it stays in your picker every day from now on - not just today - and follows you to any device you sign in on. "My types" appears at the top of each picker, and Manage my types lets you remove one you no longer need. The dashboard now shows your day straight away. It no longer opens blank; your entries, notes and reflections load as soon as the app opens, and refresh when you come back to it.
