Mac
Messagram is a privacy-first desktop viewer for your Messenger's chat backups. Import your exported .txt backup files and instantly browse every conversation as you would in your Messenger — no account login required, no data ever leaves your Mac.
FEATURES
• Import multiple chat backups at once — drag and drop or use the file picker
• Familiar chat bubble interface with incoming and outgoing messages
• Full-text search within a chat: find every occurrence, navigate oldest-to-newest or newest-to-oldest with one keypress
• Global search across all your chats at once — results appear with context and highlighted matches
• Jump to any date with the calendar picker — scroll the month view with your mouse wheel
• Date separators keep long conversations easy to scan
• Rename or delete any imported chat
• All data stays on your Mac — Messagram never connects to the internet
HOW TO USE
1. Open Messagram and press the + button to import one or more .txt backup files exported from https://www.messagram.org
2. Select a chat from the sidebar to open it. The view opens at the most recent message.
3. Use the search bar to find words or phrases. Press Enter to step through matches from newest to oldest.
4. Use the calendar icon in the toolbar to jump to a specific date.
5. From the home screen, use the global search bar to find a term across every chat you have imported.
PRIVACY
Messagram is completely offline. No analytics, no tracking, no cloud sync. Your backup files are stored locally in the app's container and are never transmitted anywhere.
