Advance directives now open right inside Guardian Chart, in the same viewer as the rest of your documents. You can still share one from there whenever you need to. We also strengthened how your records are protected at startup. If Guardian Chart ever can't open your records, it now leaves your encrypted data untouched, so every recovery option stays available.

Complete backups now include your saved records, documents, images, family photos, and unfinished scan drafts in one encrypted archive. You can restore that archive on this device or a new installation with your master password or recovery code. Settings shows whether a backup is still only on this device or has been confirmed in iCloud Drive, and when the last verified backup finished. If you already have a master password, Guardian Chart asks you once to upgrade your backup credentials. After that, every new backup is a complete backup. Older backups contain records only. Documents, photos, and drafts from those older backups may be missing on a new device. A complete backup larger than about 1 GB, or larger than a tenth of free space, is kept only as the newest copy on this device. The previous copy stays in iCloud Drive. After a reinstall or restore, archives uploaded by an earlier installation remain in Files › iCloud Drive › Guardian Chart until you delete them. Backup and restore screens are easier to follow on iPhone and iPad.

Scan documents into multi-page PDFs • Scan lab results, insurance cards, discharge papers, and other paperwork straight into a family member's records as a single PDF. • Capture page after page without interruption, then retake, rotate, crop, or undo before you save. • Guardian Chart flags pages that look blurry, have glare, cut off, blank, or crooked so you can retake them. • Enhance pages in Color or Black & White, or keep the original. You can always change it back. • If a scan is interrupted, your pages are kept safely and you can pick up where you left off. • The family member, document date, and save status are always clearly shown. • Scanning works with VoiceOver and larger text sizes. Other improvements • Add a custom "Other" specialty for physicians. • Choose from a family member's existing physicians when adding a medical event. • New safeguards protect your data during app updates.

Minor update that makes the Diagnosis date optional - entries without a date are grouped and shown at the bottom of the timeline.

You can now restore from a backup directly in Settings - no reinstall needed. The restore screen shows the exact date and time of each backup so you know what you're recovering. The Appointments tab is now hidden until you've added your first family member, keeping the app clean on day one. Multiple other bug fixes and polish.

Add a date, time, provider, and location, then view everything organized by upcoming and past.
