Zero setup — if you're signed into iCloud, it just works. Free for everyone (no longer a Pro-gated feature). - Up to 10 rolling snapshots kept in `iCloud Drive/Ballistics Calculator/` so you can roll back if something goes sideways. - First launch on a new device with an existing backup surfaces a **Restore from iCloud?** sheet before any other UI — your rifles, loads, zeros, shot logs, DOPE, saved calcs, reticles, suppressors, planner stages, match records, chrono sessions, and settings all rehydrate in one tap. - Your data, your iCloud — no account, no sign-up, no server on our side. The backup file is readable JSON; you can open it in the Files app. ### Clean-start note for v1.2.x TestFlight testers The CloudKit sync that shipped in v1.2.3 is removed entirely. The same iCloud container (`iCloud.com.zimalogistics.ballisticscalc`) now carries file-based iCloud Drive backup snapshots instead of CloudKit schema records — the two storage modes don't share data, so any rows that lived only in the old CloudKit store are reset. v1.3.0 begins with whatever is on your device and starts a fresh iCloud Drive backup from there.
