Every day in Unfold now feels a little fresher. - The words around your reading change from day to day: the completion screen, reminders, greetings, card titles, and the evening reflection. - Journal prompts and the morning card before your reading change with each day. - Widgets show your next day after midnight instead of saying it isn't available. - Suggestions in the Companion change from reply to reply, and stay out of the way when you need support. - Your name shows just as you typed it during setup. - Bug fixes and polish.

Clearer wait times while your study is being prepared. Improved journal recovery after an unexpected app closure. Improved first-reading recovery after reinstalling, and deletion handling across restarts and delayed updates. More consistent first-reading names, streak messages and next-study descriptions. The Companion name field stays visible above the keyboard.

• After you finish a series, Begin the Next Study is the one clear next step. • Your Support ID now sits in Settings with a Copy button. • Your reading and journal writing hold on more reliably when the app closes or your connection drops. • Reminders open the right day, and the widgets show the same day as Today. • A new series lands on Today as soon as it is ready. • Smaller fixes and polish throughout.

• New Lock Screen widget: today's verse from your series, one tap from Today. • Today now moves to the new day when you come back to the app after midnight. • Starting a new series now reliably makes it your current series. • Old highlights, resume cards and notifications from a past series no longer switch your current series. • Links from outside the app no longer open the onboarding screens.

Improved reliability when continuing paused reading series, while preserving your progress. Improved handling of reading notifications.

Save the Scripture that speaks to you. The bookmark on a passage now saves that passage, and your saved quotes and notes each keep their own place. Starting a new series is smoother. The question appears in full before you answer, your life update begins fresh each time, and the new series follows the direction you choose. Your reminder time and preferences stay as you set them. Your midday check-in stays with the reading you opened it for, even when you answer after midnight. Your companion keeps what you were typing. Switch conversations and come back, and your unsent words are still there. If a midday check-in can't be saved, your words stay on screen so you can copy them. We also fixed a reading that could stay on "checking" without opening, made paused series clearer in your library, and let the day picker open days you have already read. The suggestion for your next series on Today reads cleanly, and the message after you finish a reading now fits any hour.

Share more of your story before your next devotional series. Type a life update or record an answer, review the transcript, and bring that context into your next study. Your companion has warmer, smoother animations and listens while you record. You can now give someone a year of Unfold Premium from your profile. Their year starts when they claim the gift. We also made the next step clearer after a reading or series, fixed long journal prompts and confusing catch-up labels, improved offline progress and audio recovery, and added a simple way to send feedback and share Unfold. Your next devotional now waits until the next day after you finish a reading. We also improved streak timing and background music playback, with controls to skip tracks and seek within a song. Your companion’s name now appears in its tab, and finishing a reading gives a gentler tap of feedback.

This update keeps Unfold open on iOS 27. A reading, midday check-in, or evening wind-down that starts before midnight and finishes after stays on that night's day. If Companion offers a scripture follow-up after a missed evening, it now produces the passage. Your current devotional now opens as its own book. Tap the cover, or swipe the page, and the book turns open onto the reading in one motion. Reflections stay put. When the next day's reading arrives while you're still writing, your words stay where they are. Move between reflection questions with Next question, or tap Done when you're finished. Notifications take you to the right place. A midday check-in opens the check-in itself, opening Unfold from a notification gets you into the app promptly, and one evening wind-down banner is enough. Check-ins keep arriving for two weeks even if you do not open the app. The companion on Today starts moving as soon as you arrive, and its eyes stay with the sphere. When a reply includes a verse, the words around that verse still read as a sentence. Your first devotional stays with you after you start a series. Find it under Past Devotionals, labeled as your first. Sharing a book cover now offers six backgrounds and remembers your favorite. Cover patterns are tidier, with titles clear of the foil. Reading fonts now ship inside the app, so a devotional never waits on a download. While your next reading is being written, Today shows a calm, honest waiting state. When you finish a reading, Today may open onto a night sky or a mountain river, rotating with the other quiet scenes. We've also polished larger text sizes, the voice control, and the Today reveal button. Unfold. The most personal Bible study.

Your devotional series now live on a bookshelf. Browse your books, swipe a page into your reading, and share a favorite cover as an image. Make room for a little music. Choose from nine piano pieces while you read, reflect, or journal. Set a timer for a gentle ending, with quiet sounds for new beginnings and a finished day. Move between optional reflection questions with Previous and Next above the keyboard. Your answers stay with you as you write. A short introduction helps you discover the bookshelf, Companion, Music, and reflection controls. We’ve also polished reading layouts, transitions, and support for larger text.

Your devotional series now opens as a Book of Seasons, with a clearer view of the days behind you and the reading ahead. Your Companion has a new look. You can also choose the way it responds, independently of your devotional writing style. On iPad, reading, notes, and settings have more room to breathe. Layouts adapt as you resize, rotate, or change your text size. We've also improved chat history, navigation, and reliability.

Your devotional has a home of its own. Open the new Devotional tab to see your series, return to earlier days, and continue today's reading. Settings now live right in your Profile, with Support easy to find. Evenings end more gently, too. Finish your reflection and return to Today without getting stuck. We've also made reminders more reliable and given Companion notes room for the whole thought. Unfold. The most personal Bible study.

Highlights in the Bible now look like felt-tip. Each line you mark gets one soft stroke, fitted to the letters of the type you read in, in light and in dark. The same ink follows you everywhere: your devotional, a marked verse, Today's "A line worth carrying," and the Bible itself. Today got lighter. Your reading sits right on the page now, with the day's artwork free to breathe beside it, and every card has a soft frosted-glass feel. Your reminders now say what's waiting. Midday: your check-in is ready. Evening: your prayer is ready. When a series ends, your closing reflection is never cut off mid-word. Unfold, the most personal Bible study.

Highlighting, rebuilt. • Highlight any line in a devotional straight from the selection menu, pick a colour, and see a felt-tip stroke fitted to the letters in light and dark. • Highlight scripture by verse. A verse highlighted in a devotional shows in the Bible reader too. • Journal › Saved gathers every highlight, Bible note and bookmark in one place, with filters by source and type. Swipe to remove; Undo brings it back. • The book icon in a reading opens Contents, Highlights and Notes for that day. Tap to jump. • "A line worth carrying" on Today now draws from your Bible highlights as well. • Home Screen widgets fit the smallest iPhone, use Unfold's own type, and mark today in the week row.

Daily readings now recover more reliably when preparation takes longer, fails, or loses its connection. Today and the reader show clear status, reconnect to the same reading after you return, and offer safe retry controls without creating duplicates. This update also includes our refreshed onboarding walkthrough, plus the Bible, Journal, Notebook, support, and startup improvements included in version 1.1.6.

Bible reading now picks up at the verse where you stopped. The book picker uses clear, even columns with full book names and better support for larger text. Journal and Notebook are easier to use. Formatting keeps your selection, Done closes the keyboard reliably, and archived notes are easier to find and manage. Settings now includes a copyable Support ID when support needs it. We also refreshed the onboarding walkthrough and improved signed-out startup reliability.

Your next reading shows up on its own, and a few things you told us about are fixed. If tomorrow's reading was still being written when you opened Unfold, the "being prepared" card used to sit there until you left and came back. It now refreshes by itself, and the morning reminder names the day that is waiting. Readers outside the US are paced on their own calendar. The Bible tab has a home again: browse every book, pick up where you left off, and search. Search results open to the exact verse. The Companion can try another reply, save a reply to your journal, and ask what was off when a reply misses. Also in this update: - Add more than one friend, mentor, or family member by name during setup. - Starting your free trial takes you straight in. No Restore tap needed. - "Go home, we'll keep writing" really does. Today shows your series being prepared and opens it when it's ready. - A long series never times out on its own anymore. - If you asked to be notified when your series is ready, you will be. Even if something went wrong. - After you finish a day, the reflection field is right there on Today. - Swiping past a locked day, or tapping one, tells you when it unlocks. - One reminder in the morning, not two. - Improved VoiceOver labels and support for larger text.

Journal and reflections • Your journal now keeps one entry per day, and both of your devices agree on which entry that is. Entries that were split across devices are merged back together. • Reflection questions save against the question you answered, so your responses stay attached to the right prompt. • The reflections row and badge on the home screen now point at the day you are actually reflecting on. • Entries restored from sync open normally instead of failing. Notes • Search now matches the words you wrote instead of the formatting behind them. • Notes you were still typing save correctly when you leave the app or switch screens. • Restoring a note with Undo removes it from Recently Deleted. • Notes edited on two devices resolve to the newer version, and an open note refreshes to match. • Moving a note out of a folder, or a folder to the top level, now syncs. • Older notes with special characters display correctly. Ask and AI • When you reach the daily AI limit, Unfold now tells you plainly and says roughly when it frees up, instead of showing a generic error. • Verse references in replies render cleanly, with no stray asterisks or broken spacing. • A reply that was interrupted looks the same on every device. • The searching indicator clears as soon as the answer starts. Reading • Scrolling in the reader is smoother, and changing text size or theme no longer reloads the page. • The "not ready yet" screen counts only the days that can actually be opened. • Progress updates while a devotional is being written arrive faster. Today and evening • The evening wind-down uses today's midday check-in. • The wind-down spinner now says what it is waiting for. Streaks and subscription • Streak freezes are earned reliably, including when the app cannot reach the subscription service at launch. • If a subscription lapses, premium theme accents revert correctly. • Subscription prices are never shown as placeholder amounts while they are still loading, and the subscribe button is visibly dimmed while it cannot be tapped. Privacy and data • "Reset all data" now asks Unfold's servers to delete your synced data as well as wiping the device, and it removes what it missed before: your profile photo, exported workbook PDFs, saved share cards, cached audio, widget data and every scheduled reminder. Reliability • If the app crashes on launch repeatedly, it now offers a way out instead of crashing again. • Links opened into Unfold from outside the app are validated before they open anything. • Onboarding numbers are no longer clipped at the top. • Faster launch and a smaller download.
