Discover - Search and browse YouTube from a new Discover tab, then add videos to your server's queue or subscribe to channels and playlists. - A short setup walkthrough helps you get a free YouTube key. It takes about five minutes, once, and the key stays in your device's Keychain. - Home-style rows built from what you've watched: - "From channels you watch" shows the latest uploads from your most-watched channels. - "Because you watched…" shows videos like one you've watched. Tap its title to base it on a different video. - Trending has category chips. Picking one only changes the Trending row, and the rows above stay put. - Search results can be sorted and filtered by length and upload date. A summary line shows what is narrowing them. - Channel and playlist search, plus a page for each channel. - If you hit YouTube's daily limit, the app says when it resets and links to your usage in Google Cloud. Home and Settings - Settings now opens from a gear at the top right of Home, instead of a tab. A dot shows when a download is active. - Home has a Download Queue strip: tap a card to download it now. Audio and playback - Siri announcements now pause your video when you're on headphones. - Audio no longer cuts out for a few seconds after unlocking your phone. - After an interruption, playback resumes one second earlier. - Videos with saved progress start where you left off, without first playing a second or two from the beginning. CarPlay - The Saved tab can play videos you've downloaded to your iPhone. Fixes - Server setup on iPad: the Next button can no longer be hidden below the form.

Channels - Redesigned channel page: videos now show as large cards (a grid on iPad) under a filter bar that stays at the top as you scroll. - Filter by Unwatched, In Progress, Watched or All. Filtering now happens on your server, so it no longer misses videos that weren't loaded yet. - Select multiple videos to mark them watched or unwatched, download them, or delete them from your server in one go. - Videos waiting to download now sit in a collapsible section at the top. Comments - Replies are here: tap "N replies" under a comment to expand the thread. - Comments now show the author's avatar and a Creator badge on the channel's own comments. - Fixed like counts on comments, which weren't showing before. Saved downloads - Select multiple downloads to delete them together. - New Delete All Downloads option in the … menu. - Fixed storage use counting files that no longer appeared in your downloads; Delete All clears them. - Deleting a download that's still in progress now stops it properly. Playback - Siri no longer stops a video for good when you're on headphones: playback pauses and resumes after Siri. - Video now pauses while Siri reads out a notification, instead of just getting quieter. - Updated the video engine (VLCKit 4.0.0-a25).
