StudySync 1.0.1 — Build Notes This release is the first urgent hotfix and feature consolidation following the public launch of v1.0. It targets three critical user-reported issues that surfaced after release, and rolls in the travel-tracking subsystem along with the Apple submission pre-flight automation suite. Main Changes 1. Fixed SwiftData data loss. Multiple ModelContainer instances in the same process were opening the same App Group store with different schemas, causing metadata corruption. After the fix, existing users' historical data on disk reads correctly after restart, and new writes no longer disappear via the in-memory fallback. Four call sites were touched: the main app container init, the background deadline checker, and three AppIntents. 2. Fixed login freeze in mainland China. Firebase Auth and Firestore are blocked by network restrictions in mainland China, and the synchronous wait would last about 75 seconds. This release wraps every Firebase call on the login path with an 8 to 12 second withTimeout, so users see a clear timeout error within 12 seconds at most instead of an indefinitely spinning indicator. 3. Fixed Focus Timer auto-pausing after tab switching. The cause was onDisappear unnecessarily destroying the Timer while onAppear did not restart it. The fix moves cleanup to genuine lifecycle events (pause button, completion, give-up, app entering background). 4. Added a travel-tracking subsystem. Covers seven transportation modes (flights, high-speed rail, EMU, intercity, regular trains, long-distance buses, ferries) and seven import paths: Apple Wallet boarding passes, flight number lookup, calendar auto-detection, PDF parsing, barcode scanning, text paste, and manual entry. The default flight data source is AeroDataBox (500 free queries per month, supports future-date lookup); users can switch to AviationStack from the lookup screen. When the shared quota is exhausted, the app prompts users to configure their own API key. 5. Added a first-launch iCloud sync prompt. All users see a one-time sheet on first entry into the main UI, explaining what iCloud sync does and offering an opt-in. This matters especially for existing users affected by the v1.0.1 data-loss issue, so they're aware that cross-device backup is available. 6. Travel events now render interleaved by time within the calendar view rather than pinned to the top. Each day's section combines calendar events and trips departing that day, sorted chronologically. Trips falling outside the visible date range appear in a "More Trips" section at the bottom. 7. Added functional Privacy Policy and Terms of Use links to PaywallView and AboutView, satisfying Apple Guideline 3.1.2 and 5.1.1 compliance requirements.
