Untime — Seal a Moment in Time
Some things are better left unread — until the right moment.
Untime is a time-locked notes app that lets you write a message, set a future date, and keep it completely sealed until time allows. No peeking. No shortcuts. Just the quiet anticipation of something waiting to be opened.
HOW IT WORKS
Write something you're not ready to read yet — a letter to your future self, a goal, a confession, a memory. Set an unlock date. Seal it. When the time comes, your lock opens and reveals what you wrote.
Until then, it stays locked.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Create time-locked notes with an optional title and freeform text
Set any unlock date — hours, days, months, or years from now
Add a photo that stays hidden until the lock opens
Choose a card color to give each lock its own feel
Share a lock with anyone via a unique link — they'll see a countdown and read it the moment it unlocks
Receive locks sent by others and watch them open in real time
Archive unlocked locks to keep your main list clean
Create Capsules — shared time capsules where a group of people each add their own message or photo, all revealed together on a single unlock date
CAPSULES
Capsules turn a private ritual into a shared one. Start a capsule, invite your friends, family, or team, and let everyone seal a piece of the moment. When unlock day arrives, everything opens at once.
Great for birthdays, trips, graduations, new year resolutions — any moment worth preserving together.
PREMIUM
Free users can create up to 3 locks with a 24-hour default unlock time. Upgrade to Premium to unlock:
Unlimited locks
Custom unlock dates and times
8 card colors — Amber, Rose, Lavender, Sky, Sage, Coral, Teal, Sand
Photo attachments
Ability to open received locks
Unlimited archive
PRIVACY FIRST
Your lock content never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it. No ads, no tracking, no analytics. What you seal is yours.
Untime is for anyone who has ever wanted to write something and not read it yet.

Ratings & Reviews

A full redesign, inside and out.
• New look — Untime now has a warm, editorial design: serif headlines, a paper-and-ink color palette, and a wax seal that marks every sealed note.
• Clearer countdowns — see exactly how long until a lock opens, in plain language like "3 days" or "5 hours."
• New app icon.
• Refined every screen: Locks, Received, Archive, Capsules, and Settings all got the same care — including full support for Dark Mode, larger text sizes, and VoiceOver.
No changes to how your locks, capsules, or subscription work — just a better way to see them.
