A quiz that notices when a round goes badly, and gives you a way back. - A round that goes badly is now followed by a gentler one, built mostly from easier countries. - Ace that gentler round and the round after re-asks the ones you missed, so a bad run turns into a rematch instead of a dead end. - It stays with the quiz you were playing: a rough World round does not make Europe gentler, and the quiz goes back to normal as soon as you have recovered. - With the full version, Easy on a continent stays easy. Once you had seen its famous countries, the next Easy round could come back with nothing but the hardest ones; every Easy round now keeps a handful of easier countries in it. - The results screen says what the next round holds, so a gentler round is never a surprise. - Map corrections. See how crowded the world is, plus a quicker start and a batch of fixes from your reports. - Tap any country to see its population density: people per square kilometre, and how much land that leaves each person. - A new density map style shades every country by how packed it is, so you can spot the crowded corners at a glance. - The free version now works through all 50 of its countries. Easy used to run out after 38 and start repeating; the other twelve, mostly in Africa and Oceania, now come up once you have learned the easier ones. - Major Cities on Easy is now a hand-picked set of cities you have actually heard of, instead of whatever happened to be biggest. - With the full version, keep quizzing a continent and you will now be asked every country in it. The smaller continents used to keep drawing from the same handful (the same ten a free player sees), however long you played, so places like Trinidad and Tobago never came up. - Play Again now replays the quiz you just finished: same continent, same quiz type, same difficulty. It used to send you back to a world quiz. - Start Quiz now reacts the moment you tap it, instead of sitting still while the quiz is prepared. - Quizzes start quicker. MapIt used to pause to check your purchase with the App Store before it could begin; it now remembers from last time and gets straight on with it. - The map redraws more smoothly while you play. - With the full version, MapIt no longer shows you the free one for a moment at startup while it checks your purchase with the store. - A purchase that finishes after you have left the store now unlocks the full version on its own, without you having to tap Restore. - Purchases are no longer reported to our analytics with their price or currency - only an anonymous count that an unlock happened. Stability update • Fixed a rare issue where the map could stop responding after an unusual zoom gesture — it now recovers instantly
