Forgot your parent PIN? Get back in without losing your family's data. • Reset your parent PIN using Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode — even if you haven't enabled biometric unlock in AllowanceKit. • Recover access after too many incorrect PIN attempts, then choose and confirm a new PIN. • New animated coin loading indicators while syncing family data, preparing invites and loading or restoring backups.

Clearer access for the whole family when Premium ends. • Your first-created child stays editable. Additional children become read-only, with balances, goals and history still available. • Shared editing now follows the owning parent's plan, so both parents see the same child restrictions after syncing. • Automatic allowances pause for additional children and resume with Premium, without adding deposits from paused periods. • Improved checks for backup restores and shared access. For shared families, update everyone's app and have the owning parent open AllowanceKit to sync access status.

Your family's data, easier to protect — and your PIN, easier to skip. • Restore from backup. That JSON backup you've been exporting? You can now import it. Settings > Import Data Backup shows you what's in the file, asks first, and rebuilds everything — goals and earned stickers included. • Unlock with Face ID. Leave kid mode with a glance (or a fingerprint) instead of typing your PIN. Turn it on in Settings > Security; the PIN always works as a fallback. • Enjoying AllowanceKit? A new Settings row takes you straight to the App Store review page — on your schedule, not a pop-up's. Backups now also include savings goals and each child's currency, so a restore brings back the whole picture.

Saving up just got a lot more fun. • A goal for every bucket. Pick a target and a sticker — a bike, a game, anything. The bucket card fills up as your kid saves toward it. • Celebrate the win. Reaching a goal earns a confetti moment, and the sticker goes into a brand-new sticker case for keeps. • Goals on your widget. The medium widget now shows each bucket's progress at a glance. • Tidier history. Long transaction lists now show recent activity, with a See all page for the rest — for parents and kids. Plus iPad polish (bigger kid-mode text, full-height goal forms, a properly sized launch logo), the Split tab is ready before you've typed an amount, and fixes for goal celebrations getting stuck.

Your kids' devices just got the full picture. • Buckets on their device. A locked child device now shows Save, Spend and Give cards — the same big, friendly view as kid mode. • Their history, too. Kids can scroll every deposit, spend, and move on their own device. Still look, but not touch. • Better on iPad. Landscape now fills the screen, and everything works nicely with a trackpad and keyboard. • Now on Mac. AllowanceKit runs on Apple silicon Macs — same app, same iCloud, same family. Invites work by link on the Mac, since there's no camera to scan a QR code with. For parents: press and hold a child on the dashboard to edit or delete them — and every delete now asks first. A child's page shows who they're shared with and lets you edit their buckets right there. Plus deeper colors that read better in light and dark.

Family Sharing is here — the biggest update yet. AllowanceKit now works across your whole family's iCloud accounts: • Manage allowances together. Invite the other parent with a QR code — they get full access from their own Apple ID, syncing both ways. • Kids' own devices. Invite a child's Apple ID and their device becomes a window on their money — look, but not touch, enforced by iCloud itself. • Free to accept. Only the parent who invites needs Premium. Find it in Settings → Family Sharing. One thing before you invite anyone: update AllowanceKit on all of your family's devices first, so everyone's on this version. Also inside: sturdier syncing under the hood, friendlier error messages when iCloud is unavailable, and a fix for a crash when deleting a child.

• Export your data — free for everyone. Download your family's complete transaction history as a CSV that opens in any spreadsheet, or save a full backup file for safekeeping. Both are in Settings. Your family's data belongs to you. • Four new colors to pick for your kids: Butter, Peach, Aqua and Bubblegum.

• Fixed: allowances sometimes didn't arrive on the day they were due. AllowanceKit was only checking when it started up fresh, so if you reopened it from the background the payment sat waiting. It now checks every time you open the app. • Changing a child's allowance day applies straight away, instead of waiting until the next time you open the app.

• Move money between buckets. Tap the + button on a child's page and choose "Move money" to shift savings from one bucket to another. Handy when birthday money lands in Spend and your child decides to save it instead. • Moves show up properly in history, so it's always clear where money went. That includes the balance transfer when you delete a bucket, which used to happen silently. • Fixed: splitting a spend across several buckets could take money from the first bucket even when a later one didn't have enough. Now nothing is deducted unless the whole split can go through. • AllowanceKit now warns you before editing or deleting an entry would leave a bucket below zero, and tells you where that money went so you can put it back. • A bucket that's gone below zero is now marked as overspent rather than just showing a red number. • Editing a split that included a bucket you've since deleted now shows that part instead of quietly leaving it out of the total.

This one is all about keeping your numbers right. • Renaming a bucket no longer affects your balances. History now follows the bucket's current name, and editing an older entry always adjusts the right bucket. • Editing a split transaction after renaming a bucket no longer leaves a duplicate line behind. • New: Reset All Data in Settings, for when you want to start your family's ledger from scratch. • AllowanceKit now tells you when iCloud sync is unavailable, instead of quietly drifting out of step with your other devices. • Child-locked devices no longer flash the parent view for a moment when opening. If a bucket rename already threw one of your balances off, you may need to correct it once — from here on it will stay put.
