When a mosque moves, the app now follows it. If a mosque you saved has moved to a new address, Silent in Salah picks up its new location by itself, so location-based silencing starts at the right building without you choosing the mosque again. The mosque list has two updates too: Al-Nur Moskeija in Oulu is new, and Abubakar Sadiq in Espoo is at its new address on Sepetlahdentie.

Finding your mosque works again. Mawaqit no longer offers its mosque search to other apps, so Silent in Salah now carries its own list of the mosques in Finland that publish their prayer times on Mawaqit, and searches it on your phone: nearby mosques nearest first, or by name from just two letters. The list updates itself, every update is signed and checked before it is used, and your location never leaves your phone. Is your mosque missing? Write to support@ataha.codes and we will add it.

Two fixes for automatic silencing. The warning "Two shortcuts are answering" could appear with only one shortcut installed, usually right after setting it up; it now appears only when two copies really are switched on. And tapping one of the app's warnings — "Two shortcuts are answering", "Silencing did not respond" or the one about location permission — now opens setup at the step that fixes it, instead of at the beginning.

Kurdish now speaks Sorani (Central Kurdish), written in Arabic script and laid out right to left. Getting right to left exactly right also fixed three things Arabic users will notice: the setup screens now lay themselves out right to left, a few arrows that pointed the wrong way now point the right way, and the captions under the prayer window sliders line up with the sliders.

Silent in Salah can now move to a new phone with you. Settings has a new Backup section at the bottom: Export backup saves your mosques, your settings and your whole visit history — the points you have built up — into one file you can AirDrop or share across, and Import backup reads it on the new phone. The app first shows you what the file holds; your settings and mosques are replaced, and visits are merged, so nothing already there is counted twice. Permissions and the setup stay with each phone, so the new one asks for those itself. Also fixed: several taps on the setup's Test button could wrongly warn that two shortcuts were answering.

On iOS 27, Silent in Salah now silences your phone by itself, in two modes. Time-based silences at every prayer of your mosque wherever you are; Location-based notices when you arrive at a saved mosque, switches on Do Not Disturb during prayer, and switches it off when the prayer ends or you leave. No Shortcuts automation to build: setup is a couple of permissions and one shortcut, and the app checks by itself that it works. If you set up the old Shortcuts automation, the app walks you through the switch — remove the old automation, install the new shortcut — with an illustrated guide at ataha.codes. On earlier iOS versions everything stays as it was. And the most devoted mosque-goers will find a small surprise waiting for them.

Mosques that display Sabah and Imsak times on Mawaqit now load correctly — previously their prayer times could fail to load. When you have enabled the diagnostic log, it is now sent to support by email rather than through the share sheet.

When automatic silencing does not behave the way you expect, support can now ask you to switch on a diagnostic log. It records what actually happened on your phone — when the shortcut ran, what it decided and why, and how your mosque, permissions and silence windows are set — so the cause can be read rather than guessed at. Logging stays off until you turn it on, nothing is collected before that, and nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to share it.

Feedback you send from Settings now goes to a dedicated support address instead of a general inbox, so messages are seen and answered sooner. Nothing else has changed in this version.

Arriving at the mosque before the adhan now silences your phone. The silence window opens 15 minutes before each prayer time by default, instead of exactly at the call to prayer, so the automation catches you as you walk in rather than leaving your phone loud in the row. You can still set the window per prayer under Settings → Prayer Silence Window, and if you had already adjusted it yourself, your own setting is kept. Mosque Visits now also shows a score trend: your last 30 days at a glance, with a dot on every day a visit was recorded and a dashed line marking your next level.

Silent in Salah is now available in Albanian, including the Albanian prayer names — Sabahu, Dreka, Ikindia, Akshami and Jacia. Choose Shqip under Settings → Language, or let the app follow your phone's language. That brings the app to nine languages.

Fixed a bug where the prayer-window time sliders moved in the wrong direction when the app was set to Arabic. The sliders now respond correctly in every language

New optional notification confirms when your phone is silenced for prayer, including attendance points — also shows on Apple Watch. Off by default in Settings.

The app now starts in your device's language automatically (when supported), and you can pick your language right from the welcome screen.
