QuickShot: Screenshot & OCR

Annotate, Blur, Record Screen

Only for Mac

Free · In‑App Purchases

Mac

Number the steps, pixelate what is private, copy the text out of a screenshot, record with system audio. One purchase, no subscription. Capture any window or region, then explain it: numbered step badges, arrows, text, and one-click pixelation over anything private. Pull the text out of a screenshot, or record the screen with system audio. QuickShot Pro is one purchase, not a subscription, and nothing you capture ever leaves your Mac. FREE - Drag out a region and watch its exact size as you go, with crosshair guides and rule-of-thirds lines. - Hover any window on any display, watch it light up with the app name, and click to grab it. - Full-screen capture of the display your pointer is on. - Numbered step badges for manuals: click to drop 1, 2, 3. Delete one and the rest renumber themselves. - Arrows, rectangles, rounded rectangles, a smoothed pencil, a yellow highlighter, and text you can edit later, in any colour and six stroke widths. - Pixelation to scrub an API key, a client name or a face before anyone else sees it. It is burned into the exported file, not layered on top of it. - Move or delete anything you have drawn, crop and crop again on the same image, undo up to 50 steps, zoom to 1000%. - Pin a capture on top of every other window, or send it through the system share sheet. - On your clipboard the moment you capture, by default. Save as PNG or JPEG, at the quality you choose, in the folder you pick. QUICKSHOT PRO One purchase. No subscription, ever. - Text recognition in your Mac's language, for every language Apple's on-device text engine reads, on a selected region or the whole shot. It runs on your Mac and lands straight on your clipboard. - Screen recording of a region, the window you point at, or a whole display. MP4 at Retina resolution, with a floating timer that stays out of the video. System audio is recorded alongside the picture; the microphone is never used. - A code scanner for QR codes and barcodes, and image noise reduction with adjustable strength. - Capture history: a filmstrip of the shots already saved in the folder you chose. SHORTCUTS Six global shortcuts, all reassignable in Preferences. PRIVACY QuickShot makes no network calls of its own. The only server it ever talks to is Apple's App Store, for the in-app purchase and the rating prompt. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. There is no data to declare because none is collected. LANGUAGES English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese. WHAT IT ASKS FOR Exactly one permission, Screen Recording, because QuickShot cannot see your screen without it.

Multi-display fixes, reported by a customer using an external monitor. - Window highlighting now works on every display, not only the one with keyboard focus. - Full-screen capture and recording now target the display your pointer is on, so a second monitor is finally reachable. - Capture resolution now comes from the display being captured. On a Retina built-in beside a 1x external, images came out at the wrong size in both directions. - The recording timer appears on the display being recorded. - A selection dragged across the seam between two displays is captured from the screen it mostly covers, instead of an arbitrary one. Also in this update: - The three recording shortcuts in Settings now say they are Pro and open the purchase screen. Before, a free user could assign a key to them that was never actually bound, so pressing it did nothing at all. - The redaction tool is called Pixelate everywhere now, which is what it really does.
