Every block on your page now has an edge, like the icon. - Every block is a card again: one flat fill, a crisp line in your theme's own color, and a hard shadow. No more gradients or glass. Dark themes get a heavier line and no shadow. - The transparent wallpaper background for Home Screen widgets, and its Position setting, are gone. - One accent per page: your blocks now take your theme's accent. Pick a color for a block in Customize and it keeps it. - The +1 and other buttons press into the page when you tap them. - The 1-to-10 rating at the small size is one strip: tap to set it, or drag to scrub. - The Calendar's year poster is one framed object; the month view's cards match the page. - Fixed: checking in a second mood after midnight kept showing the earlier one. - Fixed: editing a goal no longer pre-fills the field, so typing a new number does not append to the old one. - Fixed: the plans screen on iPad is a full page instead of a cut-off sheet. - Fixed: onboarding, the year grid, and share previews size to the window, not the screen, so they fit on iPad in a split view. - Fixed: a color you pick for a block in Customize now shows on every theme, including Vivid. - Fixed: turning on the daily reminder asks for notification permission if it was never decided, so the reminder can actually arrive. - Fixed: Dot Grid, the default paper, stays free — trying Blank no longer locks you out of it. - Every sheet now has the same Cancel and Save buttons, and Search has a Cancel. - Fixed: a shared page image no longer includes a locked block's upgrade card. - Fixed: tapping a journal in Settings now opens that journal's settings, including journals you create. - Fixed: a search result from a mood block shows your check-ins in words. - Fixed: journal tabs now read clearly on Midnight and Solarized Dark. - Fixed: a theme picked in an earlier version now updates to its current colors, and a Home Screen widget set to the Vivid theme shows Vivid. - Every theme now has one look. A theme is light or dark on its own, whatever your phone is set to, so the keyboard, sheets and alerts match your page. The Appearance setting is gone because the theme decides. - Five dark themes, designed as themes: Vivid Night, Dark Academia, Nord, Midnight and Solarized Dark. Eighteen themes, all free. - Nord is now its true polar night, and Dark Academia is the night in the library. If your page was on the light Nord it is now on Cloud, and if it was on the light Dark Academia it is now on Poetcore: the same look, under its own name. A Home Screen widget set to Nord or Dark Academia by name shows the night. - Cloud, Lavender and Ocean draw a clean keyline instead of the shadow, which suits their quiet. - The bottom bar is a capsule in your page's paper with the card's own line and shadow, and the tab you are on wears a small pill. It sits a little lower, on a strip of the page, so nothing scrolls off the bottom of the screen under it. - A tip is now a note laid on the page, narrower than your blocks, with a quieter button. - The page header lost its plus, and Search and the ··· menu now sit on opposite sides of the date. Add Block lives at the top of the ··· menu and at the end of every page. The menu is five items instead of nine: Add Block, Templates, Rearrange Blocks, Save This Page, and Share. - Aesthetic Starters now live under Templates, beside your own. - Settings → Journal → Page Templates shows your daily default and your saved templates, and lets you clear or delete them. - The Daily Reflection card gives its prompt a little more room.

Fixes a crash when tapping Dictate for the first time and answering the Speech Recognition permission prompt. Dictation now starts the way it should.

A new icon, a new theme, and the fixes you never saw in 1.6.4. • Vivid has a new face on your Home Screen: the "vivid" wordmark in raspberry on blush. Every alternate icon in Settings is the same wordmark in your theme's colors — Color, Paper and Blend for each of the six themes, plus dark, light, classic, neon, minimal and pride • New theme: Vivid — the icon's own palette on the page. Blush paper, paper-white cards, wine ink; dark wine at night. Free, like all 17 • Make your own: the icon creator in Settings now draws the wordmark in seven colorways, so an app icon you save through Shortcuts matches the new look • An evening line on days you haven't written — one gentle nudge, never on a day you've already journaled • Second device? The welcome-back screen fills in with your real pages while iCloud catches up, and the first onboarding step can bring your journal over if it isn't found on its own • Fixed: connecting a second block to Mood stopped your journal prompt adapting to your mood • Type a value straight into any counter instead of tapping to it • Clear a movement you logged by mistake • "Log manually" in the Health step is respected now • Your backup only says it's saved once it really is • Counter buttons take your block's color, and read clearly on light ones • Connections show on both blocks, and either one can disconnect • Dozens of smaller fixes across the calendar, widgets and page editor
