Private disk cleanup with undo

Scans no longer raise system permission requests they never needed. Undo still covers every clean, the Trash still comes first, and nothing ever leaves this computer. MSRX Clean finds the space you can get back, shows you exactly what it proposes to remove, and lets you undo it. Most cleaners ask you to trust them. This one asks you to look first. WHAT IT FINDS • Application caches, logs and diagnostic files • Browser caches, cookies and site data • Stale downloads you have not touched in a month • Duplicate files, matched by content rather than by name • Look-alike photos — burst frames, near-identical shots, images resaved at a different size • Oversized files, ranked largest first • Leftovers: caches, preferences and support folders written by apps that are no longer installed • Local copies of cloud files that are already fully uploaded EVERY REMOVAL IS REVERSIBLE Nothing is deleted outright. Files move to the Trash, the clean is written to a History you can open afterwards, and one click puts everything back where it came from. The only exception is emptying the Trash itself, which asks you to confirm in writing first. Before you tick anything, each category tells you plainly what it is and what you lose if it goes. A cache rebuilds itself. A download does not. BUILT TO REFUSE The safety rules are checked twice: once when a file is found, and again at the moment of removal, so a scan left open overnight cannot act on stale information. Photo and music libraries, cloud containers, application bundles and system folders are never entered. Anything still syncing is skipped. FREE SPACE WITHOUT DELETING ANYTHING Cloud Offload finds files your cloud drive already holds a complete copy of and removes only the local copy. The file stays exactly where you put it and downloads again when you open it. Nothing is deleted, so there is nothing to undo. SEE WHERE YOUR SPACE WENT A storage map draws every folder in proportion to its size, so the thing filling your drive is the biggest shape on screen. ALSO INSIDE • Smart Scan — one pass across every category, with results appearing as they are found • Review — browsing traces, recent-document lists and thumbnail caches, with what clearing each one costs • Performance and diagnosis — memory pressure, swap and processor load, and a plain-language answer to "why is this slow?" • Startup inventory — a read-only list of what launches by itself, and where to change it • Connection check — latency, throughput and the health of your network • Weekly report and a running total of the space you have recovered PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION MSRX Clean runs entirely on your computer. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no telemetry. Nothing about your files is uploaded anywhere. It is sandboxed, and it can only see the folder you hand it. Grant it your home folder and it will look there; grant it nothing and it does nothing. The optional assistant runs on-device too, and if this computer does not support it, every feature still works without it. The only network request the app ever makes is the connection check, and only when you press the button.

A maintenance release. No new features, two fixes worth explaining. PERMISSION REQUESTS DURING A SCAN Some of the folders inside the user cache directory belong to the system's own media applications. Reading one made the system put a media access request on screen in the middle of an ordinary cleanup scan — a question a cleanup tool has no business asking. Those folders are now recognised by their identifier and skipped before they are ever read, by the scanners and by the Storage Map alike. MSRX Clean has no media features, requests no media access, and never did. STORAGE MAP TOTALS A folder was skipped whenever its name merely began with the name of a protected folder, so ordinary folders were quietly left out of the measured totals — the map understating the very disk it exists to explain. Folder names are now matched in full, and those folders are counted again. Unchanged: removals still go to the Trash first, Undo still covers every clean for as long as the copies remain there, explanations are still written on this computer, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
