Pawjot
Cat & dog health tracker
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Did the 8 am shot bring the sugar down by 9 pm? Glucose and insulin now share one timeline, so you can see. Switch to Day, flip back a day at a time, and show your vet.
Pawjot is a health log for cats and dogs. Did she finish the wet food? Did the 9am pill go in? Did he throw up on the rug again? Thirty seconds to log it, and everyone in the house can add to the same record.
■ Daily care, logged as you go
・One-tap check-in for how today is going
・Feeding, water, litter, vomiting and symptoms in a few taps
・Mixed bowls: log several foods in one meal, with weight and ME for each, and the bowl's calories add up for you
・Raw and fresh food logged in portions. Set grams per portion once and the grams and kcal are worked out
・Medication and vaccine schedules with reminders
・Daily calorie and water targets with a progress ring
■ When something suddenly looks wrong
・Episode diary: when your pet twitches along the back, bolts, or turns to bite their tail, tap to start the timer and write down what happened once it stops. You don't need to know what it is
・Every question has a "Not seen" answer, so what you missed is never counted as "No"
・Turn on Keep watching to note each evening how much of the day you could observe. The calendar shows which days were watched and which weren't
・When to get veterinary care right away, in three levels based on a vet's advice, one tap away while you log
■ Changes you can see
・Weight, appetite, breathing rate and litter-box counts, charted over weeks and months so a slow drift shows up

・Vomiting card (cats): how many times this month, what came up, compared with last month
・Body condition (BCS) and muscle checks, step by step, with questions reviewed by a vet
・Medical records including online visits, lab values and follow-up reminders. Tap "Vet visit" in Quick Log and the record is started for you
・A vet summary you can generate before the appointment, episodes and medication periods included, so you are not reading three weeks of notes off your phone in the exam room
・Dedicated monitoring for chronic conditions such as kidney disease
■ Family and sitters
・Invite family to your care circle. Entries sync live and show who logged them
・Give a sitter a care link that needs no account. One link covers every pet in the home
・When the sitter finishes, you get a care report with their photos. No app needed on their end
■ Memories kept
・Notes and photos with a date of your choosing. Photos pick up the date they were taken
・Milestones, yearly recaps, and on-this-day
・Keep logging to earn Paw Points, badges and postcards, and swap postcards with other owners of the same breed
Free covers 2 pets and 1 family member. Pawjot Plus adds unlimited pets, 5 co-carers, pantry and spending tracking, PDF health reports, more precise medication reminders, and episode videos saved right in Pawjot.
If you have ever been asked "when did this start?" at the vet and had no answer, this is the app for that.
more What's new in this version:
• Glucose and insulin on one timeline. Insulin doses are short blue bars from the baseline, as tall as the dose; glucose stays the amber line, with fasting, pre-meal and post-meal readings as different shapes. The 7- and 14-day views mark 06, 12 and 18 o'clock, so you can see which came first, the shot or the reading
• New Day view. The axis runs 00 to 24, ‹ › flips back one day at a time until the first day with a record, and Today brings you back. That day's count, average, high, low and total insulin sit above the chart
• In dark mode, fasting, pre-meal and post-meal dots are now easy to tell apart
• Glucose logged from the home screen can carry a time of your choosing, instead of always "now"
• A new Pawjot logo
1.10.3 2d ago
Giving insulin every day and losing track of which dose you're on?
• Tap the first tile in Daily Care on Home after each shot. It shows today's count and the site you used last time, so you don't have to scroll back.
• Set how many doses a day (1 to 4) in Health Conditions, and the tile counts toward that.
• Before a vet visit, open Monitor. The glucose trend chart separates fasting, before-meal and after-meal readings by shape, with average, high and low on top. A second chart shows total insulin per day. Hand the phone to your vet.
Pick a time in quick condition logs
An episode happened half an hour ago and you only now have a minute? Change the time when you log it from Home, and the entry lands when it really happened.
Security update
We replaced the keys our servers use. Please update to this version.
1.10.2 3d ago
What's new in this version:
• New: Episode diary. When your pet suddenly twitches along the back, bolts, or turns to bite their tail, tap to start the timer. Stay safe first, film if you can, and write down what happened once it stops. You don't need to know what it is
• Every question has a "Not seen" answer, so what you missed is never counted as "No"
• Turn on Keep watching and answer one question each evening: how much of today could you observe your pet? The calendar shows which days were watched and which weren't
• When to get veterinary care right away, in three levels based on a vet's advice. Open it any time while logging
• The vet summary gains a section: how many entries, how long each lasted, how your pet was afterwards, and how many were logged before and after a medication started
• Plus members can save the video in Pawjot and play it in the exam room
• The date and time in the log form are now two buttons, and no longer run off the screen on iPhone
1.10.0 6d ago
Topping kibble with freeze-dried? The calories finally add up
Foods you add with "Mix in another food" now take their own weight and ME. If one is missing ME, its row tells you, and the bowl total adds up the rest instead of vanishing.
Type in Chinese, Japanese or Korean without getting skipped ahead
Enter now just picks your character. It no longer jumps to the next step mid-word.
One bowl is one meal
A bowl with two foods counts as one meal in Today's summary, sitter records and Home reports, so meal counts stay honest.
1.9.2 Oct 18
Fixed: the app would not open on iOS 27. If Pawjot stopped launching after you updated your iPhone, this version brings it back.
Also in this update, from 1.9.0:
• Pick a date for notes and photos, so you can log something from a few days ago.
• Medical records now include online consultations.
• A vet visit in Quick Log links to its medical record automatically.
• Log fresh food by portion, and the pantry deducts it for you.
• A vomit card for cats.
• A calorie chart and an appetite check on the daily log.
1.9.1 Oct 16
What's new in this version:
• Tap "Vet visit" in Quick Log and a medical record is created with it. Add the diagnosis when you get home
• Medical records can now be online visits. If the vet asks you to come in, it shows up in your to-do list
• Pick a date when writing a note or adding photos. Photos use the date they were taken
• Raw and fresh food are logged in portions. Set grams per portion in your pantry and the grams and kcal are worked out for you
• A vomiting card on the Health tab (cats): how many times this month, what came up, and how it compares to last month
• A calorie chart in the daily log: how much was eaten each day and how far from target. The app only estimates. You decide what it means, and your call is saved
1.9.0 Oct 14
What's new in this version:
• Fixed: dogs over 25 kg could not get a new weight entry
• Weight limits are now checked separately for cats and dogs, including in vet visit records and when creating a pet profile
• If a weight is over the limit, the app now tells you the limit instead of showing a generic error
1.8.0 Oct 13
This update makes your feeding log match the bowl you actually put down:
• Mixed meals: kibble with a freeze-dried topper, or dry food with a spoon of wet, now logs as one bowl. Pick the first food, then tap "Mix in another food" (up to four per bowl)
• Grams for each food: weigh each food separately, pantry stock comes off each one, and calories add up automatically
• Only ate one of them? When your pet picks out a favorite, record each food on its own and see exactly what was left
• Recent remembers the bowls you've mixed, so next time one tap fills in the whole bowl
• Refreshed "Today's feeding": food names no longer get squeezed, and a mixed bowl lists every food with its amount
Vomiting log
• Choosing what came up no longer saves right away. Fill in what you did and any notes in order, then tap Save
• Made a mistake? Tap a vomiting entry to edit it
1.7.0 Oct 11
You can see the inventory now
・Logging a meal shows which pack it comes out of, how much leaves, and what stays — before you save, so there is nothing to reconcile afterwards.
・When several pets share a bowl, the total leaving the pack and each pet's own share are both shown.
・If a meal will run into a second pack, you are told first.
・Leaving the portion blank does not touch the inventory, and the screen now says so.
・New: Finish the pack — close out an opened pack in one tap.
・Filling in a whole day at once now counts the same pack twice in order, instead of each row answering on its own.
・Fixed: a blank portion could deduct a whole package.
・Fixed: an item saved without a package size never counted down, however much was fed.
What your pet actually eats
・No more blank screen with no explanation for anyone not using the inventory.
・How well a meal went is judged by that meal, not by anything else that happened that day.
・A one-off bad day no longer counts — a symptom has to persist.
Other fixes
・An achievement was earned but the celebration never appeared.
・A few screens showed internal codes instead of words.
・Boxes instead of characters on the sitter's care report card, and a signature that kept getting dropped.
1.6.1 Sep 1
This release fills in what you can observe at home.
New
• Body condition scoring — pick between two illustrations, step by step, to reach a 1–9 score and what to do about it. Reviewed by a veterinarian.
• Muscle and joint screening — feel four areas at home to check muscle condition; a six-question screen helps you decide whether to raise it with your vet. Results flow into Vet Prep.
• Food they like — nothing new to log. It reads back what your pet actually eats from meals you already recorded, and says plainly which servings sat out and why. Days she was unwell don't count — but a pet with a long-standing condition no longer gets a blank page because of it.
Improved
• Today shows water and calories as two rings side by side, with moisture from wet food in its own colour.
• Feeding gained a "how much did you serve" step, so a pouch is no longer assumed to be one meal. Cans are counted in cans, not packs.
• Daily water targets now use the published per-kilogram figures.
• Medical records take a visit type and your own description of the problem. Vet Prep now includes calorie intake.
• Built-in care items and household supplies can both draw from your pantry.
• Stool entries can carry a photo, and it stays out of Memories.
• Every-other-day and every-N-days medication schedules no longer drift from the second week on.
• Type sizes across the app now follow Apple's scale, with layouts adjusted in all four languages.
• Photos in a sitter's report can be swiped through.
Fixed
• A note typed under the "other" symptom was invisible once saved.
• A second pet could not be added to a group.
• Custom care items were dropped from the health history.
• Daily calorie targets showed a dash after 90 days without a weight entry.
• Subscription renewal checks, and being asked to sign in again on desktop browsers.
Plus dozens of smaller fixes.
1.6.0 Aug 28
This release fixes three things that worked all along — you just couldn't reach them.
• Wellness History wouldn't open right after launch
Tapping "Add Daily Log" or "Wellness History" from Today sometimes did nothing at all, so it looked like a broken button and you tapped again. That page is now prepared in advance, and the button shows a loading state while it opens.
• The delete button was invisible on iPad
On iPad, and on iPhone held sideways, the delete button on each logged row never appeared — and no gesture could bring it back. It is now always visible.
• The pet photo was tappable, but nothing said so
Once a pet had a photo, nothing on screen told you that tapping it changes the photo. A camera badge now sits in the corner of the photo.
Pawjot doesn't diagnose. Its job is to remember what you saw, so you can tell the whole story at the clinic.
1.5.3 Aug 17
This update is about being able to change your mind.
・Entries can be corrected
Urination, stools, sneezing, coughing and scratching — tap an entry to change what it says instead of deleting it and starting over. The time and the family member who logged it stay put.
・Page through Wellness History a day at a time
After reading one day, use Previous day / Next day to move to the one beside it, and Back now returns to the history list instead of the home screen. Tracing what your pet ate in the days before a bad night is one tap each.
・Journal entries can be edited and deleted
Fix a typo or rewrite a line straight from the card. Deleting removes only the words — the photos stay in Memories and the photo timeline.
・Notes are visible when you edit
Reopening a logged meal now shows the note you wrote at the time, and lets you change it.
・Change a food's category and the shortcut follows
Move an item from dry to wet in your Pantry and the Recent shortcut updates too, instead of quietly logging the old category again.
・"Medicine given" is recorded as a real dose
Tick it in the daily log and pick the medicine, and the dose goes into the medication history with the stock deducted. Change the medicine later and the history is corrected with it; delete the entry and we ask whether the dose should go too — the medicine was already given, so that isn't ours to decide.
・Smoother photo and video loading
How media is fetched has been rewritten, so there is less waiting when a screen opens.
1.5.2 Aug 13
As-needed medicine
• Log a dose straight from the Medications page
• Forgot at the time? Pick a past date and add it later
• As-needed medicine has no fixed schedule, so its record page no longer shows doses due or an adherence rate — neither number ever meant anything for it
Opens faster
• Removed a large font file, so there's no longer a spell right after launch where taps don't register
• The bottom tab bar is drawn a cheaper way: smoother scrolling, less battery
Also
• An outing logged by your sitter now sits inside the visit it belongs to
• New icons throughout the health report and vet summary
• Notification titles no longer begin with a stray symbol
1.5.1 Aug 9
Recent feeds show the full portion again
After you used "finish the leftovers," that entry took over the amount — half a 65 g pouch turned into 33 g next time. Leftover entries no longer decide the portion; tapping a food brings back what you actually served.
Activity notes are visible
Notes you wrote on an "Other" activity only reached the report — the app still just said "Other." They now appear in Today's events and in the activity list, including notes you wrote yourself.
1.5.0 Aug 8
Fix what you logged wrong
• Stool, urine, sneezing, coughing, scratching, subcutaneous fluids — tap the entry on the timeline to correct it
• It corrects what was recorded, not when: the time and the person who logged it stay put
• Urine colour now belongs to each entry. A dark-red morning and a normal evening no longer overwrite each other
Medications
• New "as needed" doses — anti-nausea, pain relief and anything else that isn't on a schedule no longer has to pretend it's once a day
• Naming a medicine under "medicated" on a symptom now records a real dose and deducts it from your pantry
Symptoms
• Say what you already did about it while you log: watching, medicated, ointment applied
• Hair loss added. If it keeps showing up, we'll mention it's worth a vet's eyes
Also
• The emergency card can hold your usual clinic. If it came from a sitter booking, it says so
• Back buttons on 14 inner pages
• A follow-up appointment can be set back to none, and the time can be left open
Fixes
• A newly added pet sometimes didn't appear on the dashboard
• Loose stool showed two note fields, and typing in the top one did nothing
• After deleting your last pet, "Add a pet" couldn't be tapped
• Tablet and capsule icons in the pantry were swapped
1.4.7 Aug 6
Care Circle
• Get notified when another caregiver records something — and see what they actually did: food, medication, vaccines, deworming, or the symptom by name
• Several records in one sitting arrive as a single notification instead of a string of buzzes. Symptoms always come through
• One invitation can now share several pets at once
Health
• The three summary cards now use units that mean something: calories per day for food, times per day for litter box — with the date range shown
• When calorie data isn't available, the card falls back to portions or frequency instead of going blank
• Plus health insights now lead with the finding
Also
• Choosing "Other" in quick record now asks what it was
• Food entries are ordered by the time they happened, and "recently fed" now means recent, not most frequent
• Fixed an issue where a renewed subscription could briefly fall back to the free plan
1.4.6 Aug 5
For cats on fluids, cats on insulin, and homes with more than one.
■ Subcutaneous fluids, finally recordable
Custom daily-care items can now carry a number. Subcutaneous fluids, insulin and tube feeding come as one-tap presets with the unit and usual doses already filled in — or name your own and set your own unit.
Each dose can carry a site, a time and a note, so twice in one day is two records, not one tick.
■ How much, day by day
A trend chart now sits beside water intake on the Health tab — for a cat with kidney disease, those two lines belong on the same screen.
(The chart is a Plus feature. Recording is free.)
■ Whole-house care
Homes with two or more pets get a grid in Care Circle: pets down the side, today's care across the top, tick across. A whole column can be finished in one press.
The deworming column appears only in the days a dose is actually coming up, and each pet advances by its own product cycle — a three-month product and a one-month one never land on the same date.
The feeding column hands off to the real shared-meal flow with everyone already selected.
■ Half a pill, half a sachet
Doses can now be decimals. 0.5 tablets, 0.5 sachets — recorded properly, and your pantry counts down correctly.
■ When someone else is caring
The take-home report is now one card per pet and laid out to be read, not just looked at; photos can say which record they belong to. A sitter can also see that a pet is on daily fluids — without ever being asked to give them.
■ Fixes
· Feeding times no longer appear out of order in the daily-log editor
· The timeline occasionally printed a code instead of a name
· When a multi-pet record misses one pet, it now tells you which one
1.4.5 Aug 1
Daily care, shaped around your pet
• Add your own care items under Settings → Daily Care (eye drops, supplements, anything). Each one becomes a one-tap button in Quick Record on your home screen.
A more honest feeding log
• New "Ate nothing" level — for the days when appetite disappears completely.
• Recent Feedings now spans your pets, so there's no retyping when several of them share the same food.
• Unnamed feedings (the ones logged as just dry or wet) now appear in the list too, ready to be picked again.
• Recent Feedings expanded from 4 entries to 6.
A friendlier Inventory
• Foods logged from your Inventory now carry an "Inventory" tag, so you can see where they came from.
• The picker shows grams remaining instead of package size, matching the Inventory page exactly.
• The Inventory section now has a clear Expand / Collapse control.
• Price and expiry date are full-width when adding an item, so long dates are never cut off.
Also
• Updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1.4.4 Aug 1
• The app went on a diet: about 70% smaller to install, faster to download and update
• Performance and stability improvements
