Formerly KidSafeTV, TVT Kids gives parents and trusted carers full control over children's screen time. Set up structured viewing sessions with age-appropriate YouTube content, mirror them to the TV with AirPlay, and let the app guide your kids from entertainment to calming wind-down videos, so screen time ends without the meltdown.
HOW IT WORKS
Create a profile for each child, set their daily entertainment time, choose which shows they can watch, and invite trusted carers. A parent PIN locks playlists, rules, and account settings. Children can still pick a show or launch a saved list.
AUTOPLAY: one tap from Home
Select who is watching and tap Autoplay. TVT Kids builds a recommended playlist suitable for the children taking part.
NAVIGATION BAR: makes it even easier to get around the app
SHOWS TAB: for children who like to choose
1. Select who is watching and open Shows. Only shows you have allowed will appear.
2. They can pick each video or queue episodes from one show that still fit within the session.
3. Daily entertainment time caps the session, so it never runs endlessly.
4. Watch on the phone or tablet, or rotate the screen and mirror it to the TV with AirPlay.
5. When time is up, the session can move into calming wind-down videos.
PLAYLIST TAB: TVT Kids does the planning
1. Select who is watching. TVT Kids builds a lineup based on their ages and preferences, which plays through automatically.
2. Choose the session length, from 15 minutes to 2 hours, and a stimulation energy pattern.
3. Preview the lineup, generate a new list, swap any show, tweak the lineup, and save it. A saved playlist keeps the same shows and loads fresh episodes next time, from Home.
4. Press play, then mirror to the TV with AirPlay. The session moves from entertainment to a calm wind-down if you included one.
Parents can double-tap a show in the Shows tab to build a custom playlist from the shows you choose.
KEY FEATURES

- Energy patterns: Calm Down, Peak & Calm, Random, or Steady. Control how stimulating a playlist is from start to finish.
- Evening Protection: After a chosen hour, only lower-stimulation content is allowed in Free Play and playlists.
- Wind-down: Sessions can transition to calming videos before they end.
- Auto-Quiet: Volume fades to zero during the wind-down video on a timer you set, gradually lowering stimulation to help kids walk away.
- Shows you control: Hide a show or favourite it to pin it and make it appear in playlists more often, including shows outside the child's age range if you approve them.
- Playlist Boost: Choose how often favourited shows appear in a new playlist.
- Region-aware catalogue: Show visibility adapts to what's available in your country.
- Young Child Protection: When several children watch together, toggle this on to keep the lineup suitable for the youngest.
- Saved playlists on Home: Open a list to edit it, or let a child launch it. Same shows, new episodes.
- Activity: See today's watch time and stimulation, plus a 7-day view of viewing and behaviour.
- Session Feedback: Rate how your child responded and track tantrums, to see if screen time is becoming a problem.
- Log external screen time: Log time on other screens, to see if that stimulation is adding to behaviour issues.
- Watch history: See exactly what was played.
- Carers: Trusted carers can run sessions using the shows and preferences you set. Household rules stay with you.

Every session has a start, a wind-down, and an end. Children watch from the catalogue you allow, matched to their ages and your region. Parents stay in control.
