Your place in the News tab is now genuinely kept. Leave for Home or Podcasts and come back, and you are exactly where you stopped — even if you had been reading for a while, which is the case 1.1.6 still got wrong. • The feed no longer rebuilds itself behind you and drops you back among stories you already scrolled past • Stability fixes throughout the feed

Pick up where you left off. Leaving the News tab and coming back no longer restarts you at the top of stories you already read. • Signing in on a new device now asks for your name, username and location, so your feed is local from the very first story instead of quietly defaulting to global • Profiles open on saved stories • Stability fixes throughout the feed

Your news, from your country by default — NewsFlow now picks up your region automatically instead of defaulting to global. • Faster feeds: Home and News load in a fraction of the time, and keep finding fresh stories instead of repeating old ones • Local news first, everywhere — headlines from your own publishers, not a foreign wire • Market Pulse on Home: where NIFTY names stand against their 52-week range (market data, not investment advice) • Live scores now carry each team's colours • Easier reading: tap anywhere on a summary to open the full story, with clearer type at every text size • Profiles open on saved stories • Fixes for stuck scrolling, repeated stories, and the podcast player

What's new: • Fixed F1 hub stuck on loading — switched to a more reliable F1 data source with proper timeouts so it can never hang again. • Notification images: banners on Android now consistently include the story photo (re-encoded so they don't get silently dropped on delivery), and the story page opens INSTANTLY with the image already loaded from the notification. • Notifications screen: added thumbnails so you can actually see what each alert is about while scrolling back through them. • Fixed a duplicate "Match alerts on" / favourite-team notification firing every time you opened the app. They now only fire when something genuinely new happens. • Background delivery while the app is fully closed (live match pulses + breaking team news) is still being rolled out and lands in the next update.

What's new in this update: • Tap-through notifications — open the exact story from a push, even if the app was closed. • World Cup hub: live fixtures, scores, group tables and the knockout bracket. • Formula 1 hub: full race calendar with live driver and constructor standings. • Detailed cricket Score Card: complete batting & bowling, extras, fall of wickets and ball-by-ball. • Game alerts: real kickoff and in-match notifications, including live F1 podium updates. • Faster, cleaner Sports with more reliable live scores. • Performance and stability improvements throughout.

Bug fixes and stability improvements. Faster news feed with better image loading. Smoother sign-in flow.

This update includes bug fixes and performance improvements for onboarding, feed loading, feed resume behavior, search interactions, streak tracking, suggestions, Trending freshness, Pluto response freshness, and notifications. It also improves overall stability and smoothness across the user experience.

This update focuses on bug fixes and core experience improvements across onboarding, feed, sign-in, and streaks. We fixed Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple on iPhone, resolved issues where the app could reopen into the wrong pre-login flow, and improved the first-time onboarding experience so fresh installs show the pre-login stories followed by language selection correctly. The feed has been tuned to reduce looping, repeated content, and seen-story fallbacks, while follower suggestions now rotate from a broader pool instead of showing the same few profiles repeatedly. We also fixed streak tracking so reading 5 stories correctly registers progress, and updated the streak display logic for a cleaner, more consistent experience.

This update includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and important reliability updates across NewsFlow. We improved profile badges, stability, notifications, backend connectivity, and overall app performance.
