Someone in the scene now wants something from you, and presses. The one pressing you is someone the scene has put in front of you — or no one, when nobody there wants anything of you. New stories open on who you were just before everything changed; their chapter breaks show what you want, and can show what your choices set in motion and the road you didn't take. Choices that carry a cost now say so, and come first. If your premise has something running out, the Starting World card shows it. Scene changes open by naming the place, when there is one. Chapters gather into acts, an ending is offered when the story reaches it, and you can take it or keep reading. - The people you name stay who they are, and a name you have used never returns on someone new. - Trouble can break in unannounced, from what the story has been building without you. - The home screen widget shows the line you left on, and the question waiting. Chapters start reading sooner, and usage counts can be turned off in Settings.
