Practice cards now fill the screen on iPad, in Flash Cards, group sessions, the screener, probes and the Isolation, Syllable, Phrase, Sentence and Story drills. In portrait the picture grows into the space above the scoring buttons, and in landscape it sits beside the words. Balloon Pop and Drag & Drop have a new look, and on iPad, Drag & Drop's cards grow to fill the screen. The Timed Challenge now waits for its countdown before the first word, and Minimal Pairs shows each contrast's pictures while you choose one. You can now pick two or three syllable shapes and practice them as one mixed deck. Also in this version - Error-pattern ages now match the published norms the app cites, including Bowen (2011). Atypical patterns such as backing get their own section, and a voicing error that persists past 3;0 is flagged as delayed. - SOAP notes written from Session Details now count the responses you saved, and only cite probes from on or before that session. - Exported SOAP notes, IEP packets and Sound Check summaries are now named for your local date. Before, a file could carry the day before or after. - New in Settings: Rate Sound Safari. A rating helps other SLPs and families find the app.

Fixes a crash that could close the app during a group session. The same crash can no longer happen in Flash Cards, Balloon Pop, the sound picker or Homework's status filters.

The top of a group session is now one card with the progress, whose turn it is and that student's score, so the picture gets more room. The counter shows the level ("Syllable 2 of 5"). Quick Start now works like a student's setup screen. One Start button names the game, and tapping the game's picture picks another. The Syllable Spinner has new wooden wheels, its card uses the vowel the wheel stops on, and it runs from Quick Start too. Minimal Pairs dropped 161 pairs whose words differ in more than one sound, such as thumb/fun. TH (voiced) now contrasts with D, B, P and H. Also in this version - The Include switches on a student's progress report now change what goes into the PDF. - The screener's examiner cue covers middle-of-word items too ("a[PP]le"), and substitution suggestions never include the sound being tested. - Press and hold an unfinished screening to delete it. The deletion now appears in Deletion History in Data & Privacy settings, with the number of recordings erased. - Balloon Pop keeps its close and settings buttons and Listen Again on screen on iPhone and iPad. On iPad in landscape, its four balloons sit in one row. - The target-sound cue lights "tch" as one unit, as in "watch". - When you delete a student heard in group recordings, the app says so and offers to erase those too. - Deleting a recording asks you to confirm once, not twice. - App Lock's timer keeps counting while your device is asleep.

Minimal Pairs adds 76 contrasts and lets you choose how many pairs and trials to run, and who says each word. The Spinner is now a painted wooden prize wheel, and Matching cards flip like real cards. Each sound's setup screen now has one Start button that names the game, Flash Cards unless you pick another. Tap the game's picture to switch; your pick carries over to every sound. Voiced TH ("this") and voiceless TH ("thumb") now each have their own name and IPA symbol, isolation card, phrases, probe words and minimal pairs. Also in this version - Opening the gear or the End Session alert no longer resets a group session and its scores. - A recording no longer stops when the app says a word or plays a chime. - Syllable cards follow your Realistic or Illustrated setting, with pictures for TH, SH, CH and blends. - The screener header shows the sound and position being tested. - Header scores no longer split mid-number at large text sizes. - VoiceOver reads sound names instead of symbols. - When you delete a student with iCloud sync on, the app now tells you that recordings on your other devices aren't erased.

Realistic pictures for word practice Over 1,750 realistic images now cover every practice word, minimal pair, and screening item, alongside the illustrated artwork the app has always used. Realistic pictures are on from the start. The first time the app opens, a short notice explains what they are and offers Illustrated instead. Switch the app-wide style anytime in Settings, or set a per-student override for a child who responds better to one or the other. The style locks in when a session starts, so cards never change mid-drill, and probes, screeners, session history, and homework pages all show the style that ran. Realistic pictures are AI-generated images created for Sound Safari and reviewed by a speech-language pathologist. The whole set ships inside the app, so switching is instant. Free on every plan. Practice up to three sounds in one session Quick Start and a student's practice setup now let you pick two or three sounds at once. Each sound keeps its own word positions, and the session runs as word-level Flash Cards with the full word count per sound. Saving records one session per sound, so every chart, goal, and homework credit sees exactly the sessions it always has. Repeat missed words from a mixed session The results screen of a multi-sound session shows a Repeat chip per sound with a live miss count. Tap one to re-drill that sound's missed words. Re-drills count toward streaks and practice totals but stay out of accuracy verdicts. Also in this version - The prompt level selector is now opt-in. Sessions run and record Maximum unless a therapist turns the selector on in Settings under Prompting Levels. - iPad landscape practice now fits the screen, with the picture and word side by side. - The mixed-session header points at the sound you're practicing. - The sign-in screen is centered again. - The microphone ask now appears when you first tap record, after a short explanation, instead of at launch. - Card text is easier to read in dark mode.
