What's New in KAMRA This update brings a major expansion to the KAMRA film engine with new filters, presets, and a completely rebuilt cinema stock. MIST Filter A physical diffusion filter, now built into the camera. Choose from four intensity grades (1/8 to 1) and three variants — BLK for classic neutral diffusion, WHT for a clean airy look, and GLD for a warm cinematic haze. Great for portraits, low light, and dreamy editorial shots. FIECA Preset Series Twelve new film presets inspired by professional rangefinder and medium-format digital cameras. Each preset has its own character — from the warm CCD rendering of CLASSIC and BALANCED, to the punchy contrast of BOLD and PUNCHY, to the clean minimalism of MODERN and EDITORIAL. Three dedicated monochrome presets — AIRY, MONO, and CONTRAST — are also included. Rebuilt CINEMA Preset CINEMA is now based on Kodak Vision3 500T, the professional tungsten cinema negative used in 35mm film production. The new grade features a genuine highlight shoulder, lifted blacks, a desaturated neutral palette with warm amber split toning, and fine clustered cinema grain. The most authentic cinema look in the app. UI Accent Colours Make KAMRA yours. Choose a custom accent colour from the info panel — Ecru, Amber, Rose, Sage, Sky, Violet, Crimson, or Auto to follow your active film preset. The colour carries across the entire interface. Gallery Improvements Swipe between photos directly in the full-screen viewer. No need to go back to the grid to see your next shot. Filter Memory KAMRA now remembers your last-used preset, filters, MIST settings, and accent colour between sessions. Open the app and pick up exactly where you left off.

Real film emulation. Built from scratch. Grain is now luminance-dependent — coarser in shadows, finer in highlights, animated every frame. Halation bleeds warm and red from your highlights the way film base actually does. Bloom softens light organically across the frame. This is the update that makes KAMRA feel like film.

Light Leaks — Expanded Library Grew the light leak pool from 25 to 40 assets. Combined with random horizontal and vertical flips, that's up to 160 distinct leak variations per shot. Timer now added with 3s and 10s increments Film Grain Texture Overlay (GRAIN button) Added a new GRAIN toggle to the effects row. When on, it overlays one of 35 real scanned-film grain textures on each photo using an overlay blend at randomised opacity. This gives a physical, analog roughness that's distinct from the existing procedural noise grain — think actual 35mm film scan texture. Stacks with light leaks for a full darkroom look. Works across all shooting modes (single shot, Nishika, Action Sampler).
