Two big adventures arrive in Active Buddies! MEET YOUR BUDDY Kids hatch their very own buddy — pick a character, name it, and watch its mood grow happier as they move. Meet daily goals to keep your buddy excited and fill the treasure chest with rewards. GROUP CHALLENGES Families can now team up! Parents create a crew challenge — like "Read 500 minutes together" or "Everyone bikes 60 minutes" — and invite other families or add siblings. Kids log their part, parents approve, and the whole crew earns the reward together. Cooperative only: no leaderboards, no rankings, just teamwork. • Create challenges from activity ideas or make up your own • Kids see crew progress fill up as everyone chips in • A big celebration (and the reward!) when the crew makes it • Parents stay in control: every invite and every activity needs parent approval ALSO IMPROVED • Beautiful new buddy artwork • Cheer bell: kids see when buddies cheer their activities • Goal times now follow your family's local timezone • Lots of polish and fixes Get moving, together!

ABOUT THIS RELEASE — PARENT-CONTROLLED SOCIAL LAYER FOR A CHILDREN'S APP Active Buddies helps families build healthy activity habits. This release adds two things: (1) a closed, parent-controlled social layer so children can cheer each other on, and (2) kid avatars — children pick from a FIXED gallery of friendly cartoon characters; there is NO photo upload anywhere in the app, so no image of a child is ever captured or shared. The release was designed to meet COPPA / GDPR-K and the Kids/Families guidelines. Key safety properties of the social layer: 1. NO CHILD-INITIATED CONNECTIONS. Children cannot search for, invite, accept, or remove friends. There is no discovery surface anywhere — no user search, no usernames lookup, no "people you may know." 2. VERIFIABLE PARENTAL CONSENT (MUTUAL). A connection between two children exists ONLY after BOTH parents independently approve it from their own parent accounts. A parent invites by entering the other PARENT's email; the receiving parent must explicitly confirm "Link [MyChild] with [TheirChild]." Every approval is logged with the approving parent's ID and a timestamp (consent audit trail). 3. NO FREE-FORM USER CONTENT — NOTHING TO MODERATE. A shared item is structured data only: a nickname + an activity name chosen from a FIXED in-app library + a numeric value/unit (e.g. "SpeedyZoe ran 5 km"). There is NO chat, NO comments, NO captions, NO photos, NO location, and NO real names exchanged between children anywhere in the app. Reactions are limited to a small FIXED set of positive-only stickers . It is structurally impossible to send harmful free content. 4. PARENTS CONTROL WHAT IS SHARED. An activity reaches a buddy's wall only when BOTH: (a) the activity type is marked shareable by the parent, AND (b) the parent approves that specific activity record (an approval step that already exists in the app). Approving a shareable activity is what shares it — there is no separate child-facing share toggle. 5. THE ONLY HUMAN-ENTERED TEXT (a child's nickname) IS SET BY THE PARENT in the Manage Kids screen, and is visible only to parent-approved buddies — never publicly. 6. STRICTLY PAIRWISE — NO TRANSITIVE VISIBILITY. A child sees only the activities of their directly-approved buddies. A buddy's other buddies are never visible. 7. INSTANT PARENTAL REMOVAL. A parent can remove any connection at any time; it immediately stops future visibility and purges past reactions between the two children. 8. NO ADS, NO THIRD-PARTY ANALYTICS/ADVERTISING SDKs, NO behavioural tracking of children, no in-app purchases. Account creation has an in-app Delete Account flow. All traffic is over HTTPS. THE FLOW (demo accounts below): - Parent A account shows "Friends & Circles" → invite by the other parent's email. - Parent B account shows the incoming invite → "Approve & Link." - Child A and Child B accounts then see each other's approved, shareable activities on the Friends Wall and can tap a positive sticker. Neither child has any way to add a friend or type a message. DEMO ACCOUNT LOGINS: - Parent A: email: parent1@test.com /password: Asdrss2@4$ - Parent B: email: parent2@test.com / password: Asdrss2@4$ (already linked to Parent A's child for demonstration) - Child A: username: testkid1 / PIN 1234 - Child B: username testkid3 / PIN 1234
