Improved - When recording reaches its limit (5 minutes, or 30 minutes when High Accuracy mode is available), it now stops even while the screen is locked. It may take a few seconds to stop. - QR transfer now shows each character that Shift_JIS cannot represent, with its position in the text. You can replace EN DASH (–) with a hyphen (-) to make the QR code. Your saved SOAP and copied text are unchanged. - English transcripts are now split into sentences, so the rest is no longer hidden in the iPhone text field and you can edit to the end. - Lines that may contain a symptom or blood-pressure assessment not in the transcript, or an item marked unknown that the transcript does not call unknown, are now shown in red with the reason. Open a note and tap "Transfer to Medical Record via QR" to show the whole note, or S, O, A, and P separately. Switch between Shift_JIS and UTF-8; long notes are split into numbered codes such as "SoapVox 1 / 8". Free users can try the screen with a sample note. - Whether a QR code can be read depends on your facility's reader. The iPhone's built-in camera may not read it. Please try a QR reader that your facility permits. - When High Accuracy mode is on and available, you can now record for up to 30 minutes (otherwise the limit stays at 5 minutes). - Long transcripts are now written in sections and merged section by section. When High Accuracy mode is not available, the same method runs on-device. Bug fixes - Fixed an issue where a SOAP note sometimes did not get a title and used the beginning of S as its title instead. - The "Default writing rule" setting now applies everywhere. Previously it only applied to notes created from a recording. Notes created from pasted text, imported audio, and unconverted recordings now use the same rule. - The "Screen to open after generation" setting now also applies to pasted text and imported audio. - Empty statements such as "No assessment" in Assessment (A) are now removed before saving. - Fixed a layout issue in the unconverted recordings list where the duration and other labels wrapped one character per line. Other improvements - Recordings that could not be transcribed (no speech, or file not found) can now be deleted right from the list. Recordings with no speech can also be transcribed again. - Updated wording in Settings. Thank you for using SoapVox. Rebuilt SOAP drafts - Drafts now fill in Assessment (A) and Plan (P) from what you said. Previously, A was often saved empty. - Instead of keeping your spoken words as they are, SoapVox now writes them up as readable medication-record sentences. - When a draft says something like "no side effects" or "no missed doses" that is not in the transcript, a "Needs review" label appears next to that S/O/A/P heading. If it matches the original transcript, tap "Mark as reviewed" to clear it. - If a generation stops partway, you can continue it from the list. New: High Accuracy mode (free, off by default) - When you turn it on in Settings, SOAP drafts are generated on Apple's Private Cloud Compute. It makes it easier to capture drug names, numbers, and similar details without leaving them out. - Only the transcript and the generation instructions are sent. Your audio recording never leaves the device, and nothing reaches the developer's servers. - Available on Apple Intelligence devices running iOS 27 or later. The first time you turn it on, SoapVox explains what is sent and asks for your consent. When Apple's daily usage limit is reached, processing switches back to on-device. Pro: close the app and move on to your next task - Once you start a SOAP generation, you need to keep the app open less while it finishes. While charging, it is more likely to finish with the app closed. On battery and in some other cases, some drafts may be completed the next time you open the app. - Turn on the setting to automatically resume generations that were paused on battery or by the usage limit the next time you open the app. Generations stopped for other reasons (for example, from the Lock Screen) can be continued from the list. Other improvements - Reorganized Settings so items are easier to find. - Added an in-app setting to turn off haptic feedback. - The "unconverted recordings" notification now appears at most once a day, and tapping it opens the list of unconverted recordings. - Reduced flicker in the live transcript while recording. - Removed the retention (auto-delete) setting. Your records stay on the device until you delete them. The previous retention setting did not actually delete anything, and we apologize for the confusion. - Deleting a SOAP note made from a recording now also deletes the original recording and transcript, unless another note uses them. Previously they stayed on the device. Recordings and transcripts of notes you deleted before this update remain on the device; to remove them, use "Delete all data" in Settings > Privacy & Data (this deletes all your other records too). - SoapVox now requires iOS 27 or later. - Updated the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
