Faster path to your first trip Shorter setup — Get to the Today screen quickly. Optional steps help you add your truck and home base when you’re ready. Clearer welcome — Less reading, more “get rolling.” Today screen Smarter upgrade prompt — The upgrade hint on Today shows after you’ve finished at least one trip, or when you’re close to your free trip limit, so it doesn’t nag on day one. Fairer free trips — Free monthly limits count completed trips (when you stop a trip), not when you tap Start. Fuel at a glance — Today shows real fuel entries for today (not a placeholder). This week — See week-to-date miles when you’ve logged any. Gentle nudge — After a trip with no fuel logged the same day, a shortcut suggests jumping to Fuel. Odometer — Shown after you’ve completed a trip once, so the first-run screen stays focused on Start/Stop. GPS status — Compact GPS ready / fix location line instead of a big card. You, in one line — When you’ve set driver type and truck, Today can show a short context line (e.g. how you drive and home base). Trips, Fuel & Reports (empty states) Trips — Clear message and a Go to Today button when the log is empty. Fuel — Explains receipt vs manual and offers Add fuel and Start from Today. Reports — When a quarter has no data, Start a trip and Add fuel point you to what builds the report. Subscription & upgrades (clearer and more honest) Paywall matches the product — Feature list focuses on what’s actually included (unlimited trips/scans, vehicles on Pro, exports, auto-detect). Widgets and Siri are not sold as Pro-only unless you later gate them in the app. Fleet — Copy explains Pro with unlimited vehicles for more than three units. Reports — Export buttons say Download … — Pro when locked, with a short line that you already have totals; Pro adds files to share or keep. Fuel — Scan receipt (N left) on Free so scan limits are obvious. Contextual upgrade screen — Opening Upgrade from trip limit, export, scan, Today banner, or Settings shows a short reason at the top so it doesn’t feel random. Brand & system text User-facing name is HaulLog (including permission prompts and widget display name where applicable). Behind the scenes Profile from setup — Your driver type and related setup can be saved so the app can personalize copy later.
