Turn your sheet music into focused piano practice with wait mode, loops, MIDI and mic input, real-time feedback, and progress insights.
AnyScore turns your sheet music into guided piano practice on iPad.
Upload a PDF, MusicXML, XML, or MXL score, scan printed pages with the camera, then practice with synchronized notation, wait mode, loops, real-time note feedback, and progress analytics.
Built for pianists who practice from scores, AnyScore helps you slow down, isolate difficult bars, and see what needs work after each session.
Practice with confidence:
- Wait Mode: the score waits until you play the expected notes
- Real-time feedback: see matched, early, late, and wrong notes as you play
- Loop difficult bars: repeat short passages until they feel secure
- Synchronized notation, falling notes, and keyboard view
- MIDI keyboard and mic input support where available
- Score library for uploaded pieces
- Analytics for accuracy, tempo, hot spots, and practice trends
- Camera scan for bringing printed sheet music into your library
Use AnyScore for focused iPad piano practice, lesson preparation, recital practice, sight reading, and improving pieces you already want to play.
Supported imports:
PDF, MusicXML, XML, MXL
Notes:
Camera scan quality depends on lighting, page clarity, and original print quality. MusicXML and clean PDFs usually provide the best notation detail.
Sign-in is required so your library, practice history, and account settings stay tied to your account.

I really like the idea of this app and the features that it is supposed to have. However, I have not yet gotten it to accept scanned sheet music or uploaded PDF files, no matter what format or how clean they are. They either come in all out of order if you scan them, or if you use a PDF, for some reason, it only scans the second page and nothing else. I followed all of the directions and I’ve tried multiple times. It just seems like this feature doesn’t work at all. That said I cannot recommend paying for this app until the developers find a way to get sheet music into it.
Developer Response
Thanks for the detailed feedback, and I’m sorry the import flow failed for you. MusicXML/MXL files usually import most reliably when available, but PDF and camera-scan import should still work, and I’m actively improving multi-page ordering and page detection. If you’re open to it, please email me at support@anyscore.app with the PDF so I can reproduce this exact case and fix it. I’ve shipped ingestion improvements since version 1.0.4 and would really appreciate the chance to make this reliable for your sheet music.
Uploads and scans are now more reliable. Oversized scores get clear guidance without reducing quality, full-resolution camera pages use less memory on iPad, and Starter Piece progress now syncs correctly to each account. We also improved upload recovery and error reporting.
