A small one, mostly repairs. If Readable ever signed you out for no reason, that is fixed. The fault was in how your login was stored on the phone, and it could lose a session that was still perfectly good. Adding a book is instant now. It used to sit and wait on the network before the button would change its mind. It does not any more. New readers land on Discover rather than an empty home screen, so there is something to look at from the first second. And Readable can finally ask whether you would like a reminder to read. This is the update I've been building toward since Readable launched — months of work, and easily the biggest release the app has had. If the last version was a reading tracker, this one is a reading life. You can now walk in and start straight away: your name, your genres, your favourite books — before you ever make an account. Everything you build comes with you when you do. The social side of Readable is new from the ground up. Profiles are now something you'd actually show someone — headlined by the four books you love most, with your reviews, lists and reading taste in one place. A calm feed of posts and reviews from readers you follow, with photos, videos and proper conversations underneath. And you can share a book, a review, a club or your profile with a link that finally looks the way it should. Stats were rebuilt from the first pixel. Your year reads like a magazine masthead — books, pages, reading days — then goes as deep as you want: your genres, your most-read authors, how your ratings fall, how your pace moves through the year. Reading milestones are drawn like engravings now, earned quietly and kept for good. Book clubs got a room of their own: synced reads with a queue of what's next, discussions that keep spoilers hidden until you've caught up, polls where the options are real books, and goals you finish together. Community challenges give the whole of Readable something to read toward. Search is faster and smarter, and finds the edition you meant. Don't like a cover? Choose the one your shelf deserves. Browse by mood when you don't know what's next, keep a wishlist for the books you want, and see where to buy them from stores you know, matched to your country. And underneath all of it: every format you own on one shelf, series you can follow properly, quotes worth keeping, a diary of everything you've read, new themes, sharper covers, cleaner titles, and hundreds of fixes large and small. The timer is wall-clock accurate through screen sleep, app backgrounding, and force-quit-and-resume. - Reopen the app mid-session and you'll get a friendly "continue your session?" prompt instead of silent recovery. - Edit your reading session right when you finish it. Adjust duration, pages, start time, or mark it as "don't count time in stats" without digging through Session History later. - Follow series. Series now have creators and followers — find a curated list you love, hit Follow, and the curator's count goes up. Your followed lists live on your profile. - New Series page. Tap your streak count to see your last 30 days, milestones, and (if you're on Pro) freeze controls. - Edit captions on your posts from anywhere in the feed. - Tag People in posts now opens reliably. - Help screen, profile, achievements, and reading-speed trend rebuilt for clarity. Achievement progress shows both earned and locked badges. Speed trend skips weeks with no sessions. - Tip popups no longer leave invisible taps in the background after closing. - Coachmarks now fire for existing users who haven't seen them yet — one first-impression for each, then they stay out of your way. - Smoother feed. The Posts tab now recycles rows as you scroll, so long browsing sessions stay lightweight. - Quieter underneath: more accurate reading-time goal tracking for readers in non-UTC timezones, cleaner subscription state when an old subscription expires, smoother daily background work, and fewer modal-stacking bugs across the app. - Smaller polish: Cancel buttons on modals stop wrapping. Streaks redesigned. New stepper view shows your milestones at 7, 30, 100, and 365 days at a glance — earned, next up, and locked states are now obvious. Book Clubs, completed. Admins can queue multiple books with target completion dates, reorder the queue, and the Members tab shows everyone's actual reading progress instead of a generic "not started." Book Detail, reorganised. The description now appears immediately under the primary action, not buried below the fold. Where to buy lives at the natural decision moment. Series got a privacy flag. Make your series private. Tapping a series now jumps you straight into the first book. Diary works on other readers' profiles. The path was misrouted before; it isn't anymore. Polls fixed. Votes update instantly and never reset. Admins can now build polls where each option is a real book — tap the cover to view, tap the row to vote. Discussions polished. Thread links from push notifications and shares now load reliably. New character counters on the title and reply fields. Notifications, less generic. Your defaults are now seeded from the goals you set during onboarding — quiet social baseline if you didn't pick the community track. Plus a quieter set of fixes: Ranks rendering, club round auto-advance edge cases, diary refresh artifact, and a few rough edges in the upper-fold layout.
