GeoTapp TimeTracker
Record your working hours
Free
GeoTapp TimeTracker keeps the hours of people who work away from a desk: on site, in clients' homes, out on the vans.
You clock in when you arrive and out when you leave, and the phone records the time and the place where the button was pressed. In between there's the break: press it when you stop and the timer stops with you, so the hours left are the hours actually worked.
Those clockings turn into the report: what was done, by whom, when and for how long, with the breaks written down instead of buried in the total. It's the document that settles the argument with the client before it starts.
This is not surveillance and nobody is followed through the day: the location is taken at the moment of a clocking and of a break, and nowhere else.
An active company license is required to use the app.
more When you have more than one job in a day, the app asks which one you are starting and links your proof photos to the right one.

Small bug fixes
1.4.4.2 Oct 5
What's new in 1.10.19
• Roles recognised in every language: administrators and managers are now correctly recognised even when the company uses the app in another language (Administrador, Administrateur, Beheerder and more).
• Fixed an issue where some administrators on iPhone could not see the features reserved for them, such as approving vehicle reimbursements and managing locations.
• Stability improvements.
1.4.4.1 Sep 24
No more picking the job twice. If you clocked in for a job, the work proof belongs to that job: the field fills itself and stays locked. Before, an empty dropdown opened and one slip filed your photos under the wrong site.
The photo is checked against your clock-in. When you take a shot, the app reads its location and compares it with where you clocked in. If the photo comes from far away, the proof says so instead of going through quietly.
The proof carries the shift it came from. The session and the measured distance go inside the sealed package, so the link between photo and shift stays verifiable afterwards.
1.4.4.0 Sep 23
The shift is now on your wrist as well. On Apple Watch you start it, take the break and close the day without pulling out your phone, which helps with gloves on, dirty hands, or a phone at the bottom of the bag.
The watch does not clock in by itself though. It asks the phone, which stays in charge of reading the location and deciding whether the entry is good. If the phone doesn't answer, the watch says so rather than pretending otherwise.
The timer on your wrist is the one on the phone, breaks already deducted.

1.4.3.6 Sep 11
Breaks are here.
Clock in and a yellow button shows up, Start break. Press it when you stop, the timer stops with you, press it again when you get back to work. The hours that reach the report and the payslip are the hours actually worked, and the breaks are written down with their start and end time: if the client knows there was half an hour of break, it's there on the document instead of being claimed back later.
The location notice has been updated as well, and now states that coordinates are taken at the start and end of each break, the same way they are for clock-in and clock-out.
1.4.3.5 Sep 8
If your company has already registered you, your name, surname, email and phone are waiting for you when you type the invite code. Pick a password and you are in.
Fixed a defect in Communications: messages sent from the iPhone updated the channel preview without ever being saved. Now a message is either written or it isn't, with nothing in between.
1.4.3.4 Aug 29
Work proofs are complete now, and they no longer get lost on the way.
You pick the type of job: routine cleaning, machine cleaning, deep cleaning, snow
clearing. And you tag every photo as before, during or after the moment you take it,
because half an hour later nobody remembers.
Before you send, the app tells you what is missing. If the job needs a before and an after
shot and you only took one, it says so right there: no more reports that turn out
incomplete once you have already left the site.
With no signal the proof stays on the phone and sends itself as soon as the signal is
back, even if you closed the app in the meantime. The screen always shows how many are
still waiting.
Start and end of a job, with the time, are now recorded.
Clearer messages when the camera is not allowed or not available.
1.4.3.3 Aug 22
• A jailbroken device no longer blocks your clock-in: the entry is recorded and
flagged to the company, which decides.
• Only software-simulated positions stay blocked.
• Clocking in outside the assigned area is no longer refused: the entry is
recorded and flagged as outside the area.
• Background location removed from the app profile, it was never used. Position
is read only when you tap to start and to finish.
1.4.3.2 Jul 16
Privacy and data processing in Europe
App requests are now processed on European servers.
Nothing changes in daily use: clock in and out, work sessions
and reports work exactly as before.

Work Proof Filtering
Now you can easily find the work proofs that matter to you. The proof list is automatically filtered by assigned employee, and archived jobs are hidden to keep your view clean and focused.
GDPR GPS Consent
A new privacy consent screen ensures full compliance with GDPR regulations. Location tracking for clock-in is now activated only after you have read and accepted the GPS privacy notice. Your privacy comes first.
