RADIO — THOUSANDS OF FREE STATIONS
• Browse thousands of free internet radio stations from every country and genre.
• A Discover tab that surfaces the top stations where you are, plus personal picks based on what you listen to.
• Live news, music, talk and more — worldwide.
• Add any station in a tap and build your own library.
PODCASTS
• Follow every show you love and never miss an episode.
• Clean episode lists with offline listening, like and queue.
• Your progress and favorites stay in sync.
LIVE YOUTUBE, BUILT IN
• Add YouTube videos, livestreams and playlists and play them right inside PoRaBar.
• Great for 24/7 live news and music channels.
AUDIOBOOKS (AUDIOBOOKSHELF)
• Connect your own Audiobookshelf server and listen to your whole library — every book, not just the newest ones.
• Search your library by title, author, narrator or series.
• Browse an Authors page with photos and biographies, and jump straight to every book they wrote.
• Continue Listening uses the progress your server already knows, and your position is written back as you listen — stop on one device and carry on with another.
• Covers appear in their real shape, square or portrait.
EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE
• Radio, podcasts, YouTube and audiobooks side by side in a single library.
• Hide the sections you don't use — radio, podcasts or YouTube — and PoRaBar becomes a focused Audiobookshelf player.
• A beautiful Now Playing screen with full controls.
• Up Next queue, liked songs, listening history and a sleep timer.
• Hand off playback between your iPhone and Mac.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
• No account required to start listening.
• Fast, lightweight and privacy-friendly.
• Looks great in light and dark mode.

AMAZING! The menu bar app I didn't know I needed!
BaskinBees
Ok, this app is genuinely great. It just sits in your menu bar, you click it, music plays. That's it. No account, no bloat, no subscription. The live "what's playing" info is what got me -- you can actually see the song before you even switch to a station. Podcast side is solid too. Skip intro works, episodes pick up where you left off, and the sleep timer is great for falling asleep to stuff. A big winner! Will contact the dev to help improve it!
Developer Response
Wow, thank you! Click, music plays. That's exactly how I wanted it to feel. Really happy the live what's-playing info, skip intro and the sleep timer work so well for you. And yes, please reach out. Ideas are very welcome at support@porabar.com. Nick
New in this update:
- Audiobookshelf now has its own page in Discover, next to Podcasts and Radio, while a server is connected.
- Audiobookshelf: covers now show in their real shape, square or portrait, everywhere — including the players.
- Audiobookshelf: your whole library now loads, not just the 50 newest books, and "Continue Listening" shows books you started on other devices.
- Audiobookshelf search: find books by title, author, narrator or series.
- Audiobookshelf: a new Authors page with all your writers — photos, bios and their books.
- Library sections you hide are now hidden in Discover and CarPlay as well.
- You can now also hide "Contribute & share" and "My reports" in Settings.
- After you start the free trial, whatever you pressed Play on keeps playing — no need to press Play again.
- When the trial has ended, playback no longer just stops after five minutes: a popup explains what happened and how to continue — buy the app, or earn it for free by improving station logos.
- The "NEW" badge on recently added audiobooks is readable again in every theme, and the authors row lines up properly.
