Is this for Indian Tamil or Sri Lankan Tamil?
The core vocabulary is shared across both. The app teaches a neutral spoken register most Tamil speakers recognise. Regional dialect options are planned for a future update.
Do I need to know any Tamil already?
No. The course starts from zero. The first lesson teaches "vanakkam" (hello) and builds up from there.
Will this teach me to read Tamil script?
Not as the main goal. The focus is listening and speaking. Tamil script is shown alongside transliteration for those who want to learn it gradually.
Is it good for heritage learners?
