Cloudbase App
Skydiving logbook & replay
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Cloudbase is the skydiving logbook that fills itself in.
LOGGED FOR YOU
Manifest at a synced dropzone and the jump is in your logbook before you've packed. Record with your phone and it detects the jump, or bring your tracks in from FlySight, Dekunu, Garmin, GoPro and more. Manual logging, gear and PDF export are all there when you need them.
REPLAY EVERY JUMP
See your exit, freefall, deployment and landing on the map, alongside everyone else on the load.
YOUR CREW
Follow the people you jump with, react to their days, and celebrate the milestones together. Every dropzone has a page with who's jumping, the weather, and a leaderboard.
ON YOUR WRIST
The Apple Watch app shows altitude and climb rate live, detects your jump, and logs it. A companion for your logbook, not a substitute for your certified altimeter.
PRO
Logging, DZ mode, the watch altimeter, replay and export are free. Pro adds per-jump analysis with peak speeds and phase breakdown, your whole career in insights, a tracking dive planner, Body Flight Lab, dropzone weather radar, cloud backup and early access.

0.41.0 Sep 20
A rebuilt Cloudbase.
Home now follows your day. It shows where you are, what is on the load and what you just jumped, instead of a wall of numbers.
Logbook, Insights and Community are rebuilt around the same idea: fewer screens, less clutter, and the thing you came for at the top.
More is free. Only competition scoring — swoop, speed and wingsuit tasks — is Pro now. Your peak speeds, freefall phases, opening report and personal rankings are free for every jumper.
Drop zone pages are interactive: real landing maps you can pan and zoom, live weather and who is there today.
Plus a long list of fixes across recording, imports and jump replay.
0.40.0 Sep 20
Drop zone detection is more reliable. Cloudbase now leaves room for other apps that use location, and stops re-registering zones it already knows about.
Faster app start.
Tagging: see who you cannot tag yet, and follow them back straight from the picker.
If your account has no email address, you can now add one and verify it with a code.
Fixes for Apple Watch sign-in, VOG imports, and jump numbering.

0.30.0 Sep 10
Weather that answers the real question: is it on today?
Every drop zone now has a proper forecast. An hour-by-hour table you can scroll, wind and gusts weighed against the published UK limits, cloud base, and a verdict for the day that knows when the light goes. Drop zones and their weather now sit together under Discover.
Also in this release:
- The tracking planner is a briefing now: exit, break-off and opening on one screen, with separation worked out over the ground instead of through the air
- Jumps still waiting to upload are visible on your logbook and on the recorder, rather than syncing silently
- "Jumped with" names only the people actually tagged on the jump
- Replay adds break-off range rings, a wind line through the landing area, and map style controls
- More accurate altitudes from Apple Watch and iPhone recordings, and speed skydiving is no longer capped at 224 mph
0.29.0 Sep 7
Jump replay, rebuilt.
Every jumper is now a dot with a tail you can follow, with transport controls you can scrub and a stats drawer for the numbers. The track shows your opening burst, a canopy halo and the spot you landed on. Winds aloft follow the jumper down as they descend, and glide ratio is charted across the whole flight.
Also in this release:
- Freefall horizontal speed no longer counts the aircraft's throw at exit
- Manifest sync can tell which main you jumped, not just which rig
- Faster photo uploads, and a fix for uploads that could stall partway
- Jump numbers now match everywhere, including notifications
0.28.0 Sep 5
Insights got a lot bigger. New cards for canopy jumps, repack countdown, reserve rides, deployment trend, weather, aircraft and jump run, plus a breakdown of where your jumps come from.
Swoop analysis. Turn and rollout numbers on the jumps where you flew one, with a reference point you set per jump.
Canopy progression. You can now add and edit entries yourself, not just read them.
Garmin Connect. Recordings can file themselves as Skydiving instead of a generic activity.
Sunset reminders now cover a dusk start and the second night of a trip.
Plus better user search, and a round of smaller fixes under the hood.
0.27.0 Sep 3
A rebuilt Cloudbase, and a cabinet for your badges
Every screen has been reworked. One accent colour instead of four, a proper typeface, a dark mode that reaches the last corner of the app, and haptics on the things you press. Screens now show their shape while they load rather than a blank spinner, and the tab bar answers the moment you touch it.
Your badges finally have somewhere to live. The new cabinet lets you browse the full collection, see how close you are to the ones you have not earned, check the jumps that earned the ones you have, and pin your favourites to your profile. Drop zone badges now appear too.
Also in this release:
- Weather moved into the drop zone list, so you can see conditions without opening anything
- GPS Replay now lives in the Tools tab, alongside everything else you launch
- The Flight tab leads with the map, and each chart series gets its own scale
- Jumpers you exited with are attached to your jump automatically, not just those you climbed with
- Record the year you started jumping, and your profile does the maths
- Your drop zone check in now honours the privacy setting on your profile
- Speeds the phone could not really measure no longer reach your personal bests
- Better GPS on Android when the app is in your pocket and the screen is off
- On Apple Watch, a cold GPS lock is no longer interrupted before it can finish
- The end of day reminder now carries the End and Keep buttons it always described
0.25.0 Aug 31
• Fixed a rare crash that could hit the moment the app opened
• Coaches: browse the new directory, request coaching in-app, and coaches can manage their own listing
• Fixed ProTrack II jump imports
• Cleaner feed and assorted UI polish
0.24.2 Aug 29
Your GoPro footage, cued to the exit
Connect your camera and Cloudbase reads the flight data straight off it, then drops you at the exit, the opening or the landing in the clip instead of making you scrub for it. Cameras you have used before are remembered by name.
Also in this release:
- Imports are faster and lighter, and a long clip streams to disk instead of having to fit in memory
- A recording split into chapters imports all of it, not just the first part
- Compare several jumps side by side in the 3D replay, lined up on exit
- The wingsuit leaderboard has source and geography filters, and a plane ride down no longer scores
- Your slowest sustained descent is measured properly, so the wingsuit number is real
- Cloudbase asks about a reserve ride on the jump you actually rode it
- FlySight and AON2 X2 syncs keep going when the screen goes off or you switch apps
- On Apple Watch, jumps today rolls over at midnight and the climb arrow points with the compass
- Fixes for Dekunu logs that span two power ons, and bulk imports that lost the newest jumps
0.24.0 Aug 27
Weather landed. Every dropzone now has its own weather screen with winds aloft, cloud base and a live radar, plus a "where can I jump" view that ranks the DZs near you on whether the day is actually jumpable.
You can attach links to a jump now, so your outside video or the dive plan lives on the jump itself instead of in a chat somewhere.
Dropzone day cards in the feed are reactable, and each one has its own permalink you can share.
Also in this one: Garmin watches that record without a GPS track now land on the right jump instead of orphaning next to it, and Burble tells you plainly when your connection needs reconnecting rather than going quiet.
0.23.0 Aug 26
Fixes a problem where the watch could stop recording your GPS track partway through a jump.
0.21.9 Aug 17
Apple Watch reliability: DZ mode now shows a clear Stalled state if watchOS blocks background recording, and recovers itself when you open the app. Smarter altitude zeroing when arming mid-climb, even with no GPS signal in the aircraft, plus fixes for altitude drift on long days at the DZ.
FlySight: clearer steps for putting an FS2 into pairing mode, and if a scan finds nothing you can now report it and copy the details off your device.
Uploads: queued recordings now show when they are close to expiring.
0.21.8 Aug 15
Mostly Apple Watch this time.
The climb screen is easier to read at a glance: bigger numbers, fewer labels, an arrow pointing back to the DZ, and GPS signal bars so you can tell whether the watch actually has a fix. The canopy screen now matches it, and when something is wrong it names the problem instead of just dimming.
Also fixed on the watch: the post-jump summary could trap you while an upload was still running, the paywall showed the wrong price, and the watch was discarding usable GPS fixes inside the aircraft, which blanked heading, ground speed and DZ direction on jump run.
Elsewhere, the landing pin marks where you actually landed rather than where the recording stopped, and your jump map frames the jump instead of zooming out to take in the drive home. Garmin sync has a clearer status display and some fixes to pairing. GoPro MAX and MAX 2 .360 clips now import.
0.21.5 Aug 14
Improved recording and recovery reliability on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Better recovery from temporary connection errors and smoother navigation.
Bug fixes and stability improvements.
