Workout Tracker & Log – NAWT
Strength Training, Hypertrophy
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
300+ exercises, Apple Watch and iCloud Sync: logging stays free, no account needed. With Pro, the coach tells you for every exercise whether to go up, hold or back off.
Your coach for every set: NAWT Pro tells you your next weight and reps – and why. Logging stays free, no account needed.
Up, hold or back off: for every exercise, the coach tells you whether to increase the load, keep the weight or plan a deload. Fixed training rules make that call, not a black box. Apple Intelligence only writes the notes on your iPhone; the numbers come from the rules.
FREE VS. PRO.
Free, no account, no limits:
– Unlimited workouts, sets, custom exercises and manual plans, with notes and RPE/RIR
– 300+ exercises, machines included, with technique tips
– A starter plan built from your answers
– Your full history, down to every single set
– PRs, e1RM and tonnage, calculated transparently from your sets
– Supersets, set types, plate calculator, rest timer and Live Activity
– Apple Watch: log sets and control the rest timer while your workout runs on iPhone
– Optional Apple Health integration
– iCloud Sync, offline use, and CSV export and import of your NAWT data
Only with NAWT Pro (subscription or one-time purchase):
– Adaptive Progression: a weight and rep target for every working set, with the reason; uses your RPE/RIR
– Deload control: spots plateaus across three sessions and suggests a deload
– Plan generator: a complete plan from your training days, time per session, equipment and goal
– Import your history from supported tracker apps (free preview)
– Coach notes with Apple Intelligence: a note after training and a briefing before your next session (requires an iPhone with Apple Intelligence and iOS 26 or later); targets and reasons work without it
– Long-term volume and consistency insights
– Personal XP and levels
– Studio: five more accent colors, each with a matching app icon
If Pro ends, your workouts, routines and generated plans stay usable.
BUILT FOR THE GYM.
NAWT is a workout tracker and training log for strength training and hypertrophy, whether you're into bodybuilding, powerlifting or just lifting twice a week. Track squats, bench press, deadlifts and the machines at your gym set by set, with weight, reps and RPE; warm-up sets, working sets and drop sets are marked separately. No need for a separate 1RM calculator: NAWT estimates your one-rep max from every set. The plate calculator shows which plates go on the bar, and the rest timer runs on your Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on Apple Watch. With Pro, the plan generator builds your workout plan as full body, upper/lower or push/pull/legs, and progression follows progressive overload: more reps or more weight as soon as you're ready. Finished workouts can go to Apple Health with their real start and end times.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS.
No NAWT account, no email, no sign-up. With iCloud Sync, your workouts, plans and exercises live in your own iCloud account; we have no access to them. Your body weight and anything NAWT reads from Apple Health are never stored in iCloud.
PRO PURCHASES & SUBSCRIPTIONS.
The logger remains free. NAWT Pro is optional and available as “NAWT Pro – Monthly” for one month, “NAWT Pro – Annual” for one year, or “NAWT Pro – Lifetime” as permanent Pro access. If StoreKit confirms eligibility, you can try a monthly or annual subscription free for seven days.
After the free trial, the selected subscription renews automatically at the full price shown before purchase for its stated term unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge. Purchases can be restored in NAWT.

more Choose when you train. NAWT reminds you an hour before.
• You're asked after setup, after closing a workout with no sets logged, and on the finish screen.
• Reminders only come if you ask for them, now with sound, and during a trial also one day before it ends.
• New plans bring main lifts like squat and bench press back within the first three sessions, with your numbers from last time.
• A workout left open by accident no longer takes over the screen at every launch or counts idle hours.
• Also: Liquid Glass on iOS 26, personal milestones, and a finish screen that leads with your numbers.
3.2.5 2d ago
The setup for new members now runs to the end, including with iCloud Sync on.
NEW MEMBERS
– The setup builds you a full plan around your goal and priority muscles. That plan is part of Pro.
– Without Pro, you begin with a starter plan built from your own answers: up to four exercises per session, fitted to your schedule, equipment and experience.
– If you start the 7-day free trial, you keep the full plan, even after canceling.
– New installs no longer get a preset "Push Pull Legs" plan.
– Already using NAWT? Your plans stay exactly as they are.
ICLOUD SYNC
– NAWT no longer keeps the "setup done" note in iCloud. After a reinstall or on a new iPhone, your data decides whether setup appears.
– When NAWT merges an exercise from two devices, it keeps the difficulty you set yourself.
– If two devices each tracked a different next workout, NAWT keeps the one with your latest session.
ALSO
– A custom exercise that shares a name with a former catalog entry, such as "Pull-Ups", stays your own.
– With Pro, features you already have no longer carry a "Pro" badge.
– Without an active plan, the Home Screen widget points to training instead of the Pro plan generator.
Logging stays unlimited and free — no account, no limits.
Feedback is welcome via Profile → Data, subscription and support.
3.2.4 Sep 24
Every one of the 303 exercises now has its own guide: three technique cues, two typical mistakes, the assisting muscles.
EXERCISE GUIDE
– Every exercise in the catalog has three technique cues (setup, execution, finish) and two typical mistakes — in all six app languages.
– The muscle map now shows the secondary muscles too.
– Custom exercises get general guidance by equipment and muscle group.
IN THE WORKOUT
– When a set falls short of its rep range, the suggested weight comes down far enough that the range is reachable again: after 100 × 7 and 100 × 4 at a target of 8–12, it's 85 × 10 instead of 90 × 7. Nothing changed between sessions.
– The value wheel waits for a flick to settle before "Apply" takes the value.
– 0 kg can be entered as a load where an exercise's weight range starts at zero, such as an empty lever machine.
– Warm-up sets show a "W"; working sets count 1, 2, 3 among themselves, so the first working set no longer reads "2" after a warm-up. Same in the history table.
– The exercise strip at the top scrolls again without selecting the tile under your finger; when you reorder, the tile follows your finger.
TRAIN HUB AND PLAN
– While a workout is open, its unit reads "In progress" in the hub instead of "Next up"; tapping it returns you to the workout. Press and hold a unit to edit it.
– The "Resume workout" banner names the unit ("Push") instead of "Custom".
– The week card stops at your weekly goal ("3 of 3", not "4 of 3"), and the goal is a setting.
– A unit can be deleted from its own editor.
– Past-workout lists say when a workout was and how long it ran.
– The glass tab bar (iOS 26) stays put while you scroll.
PROFILE AND PURCHASE
– Appearance (palettes, icon, glass) has its own settings page.
– Offer codes: "Redeem code" in the paywall and under Profile → Data, Subscription & Support.
– Buying or restoring Pro copes better with a slow App Store; a purchase the App Store reports as already owned unlocks Pro immediately.
– Apple Health is offered once after your second saved workout and otherwise lives in Profile.
Logging stays unlimited and free — no account, no limits.
Feedback is welcome via Profile → Data, Subscription & Support.
3.2.3 Sep 22
303 exercises instead of 146 — including the machines your gym actually has.
THE LIBRARY HAS GROWN
– More than 150 new exercises: the machines the big manufacturers build, cable variations, the Smith machine and free weights.
– Grip variations on every pulling station: close, wide, neutral, underhand and single-arm — each its own exercise with its own history.
– 283 of the 303 exercises have a drawing.
– Search now ranks by relevance and forgives a typo.
– Give any exercise your own photo and your own name. Both stay yours, even when NAWT updates the catalogue.
IN THE WORKOUT
– The rest timer has been rebuilt: it grows out of the button instead of sliding up as a sheet, and the time left sits large in the middle.
– Warm-up ladder: before your first working set, NAWT builds a ramp in weights that are actually loadable on that piece of equipment. Warm-up sets stay out of your volume and get half the rest.
– Reorder exercises mid-workout: press and hold a tile, then drag it where it belongs.
– A third column in the logger, and you choose what it says: 1RM, 10RM or volume.
– Tap an exercise to open its history without leaving the workout.
PLAN AND HISTORY
– Cycles: every pass through your plan to look back on — what was due, and what you trained from it.
– A skipped session counts toward the pass you took it out of.
BRING YOUR HISTORY WITH YOU (PRO)
Export a CSV from your previous training app and pick it under Profile → Data, subscription and support. NAWT reads the file and shows you what is in it first: your workouts, your sets, your date range — counted, not estimated. Nothing is saved until you confirm. Reading the file and the preview are free; writing it into NAWT is part of Pro. CSV export and moving to a new iPhone stay free.
APPLE WATCH
– The rest alert opens the watch app instead of your iPhone.
– The crown now stops on every rep count.
Plus the fixes from two sessions in a real gym: reliable rest after warm-up sets, reminders in one place instead of four, a suggestion that never asks for fewer reps than the range allows, and a history that opens faster.
The logger stays unlimited and free — no account, no limits.
Feedback is welcome via Profile → Data, subscription and support.
3.2.1 Sep 17
Your training moves with you: iCloud Sync is here. And NAWT has been redrawn.
ICLOUD SYNC — PART OF THE FREE LOGGER
– Workouts, plans and exercises live in your own iCloud storage. Once sync has run on your old iPhone, sign in on the new one with the same Apple Account and your training is back. The first sync can take a moment.
– Still no NAWT account, no email address, no sign-up. Turn it on or off under Profile → Health and privacy.
– Your body weight deliberately stays on this iPhone and never goes to iCloud — so on a new iPhone your weight log starts fresh.
– New: "Import Data" from a NAWT CSV export, and a guided "Move to a New iPhone" path under Profile → Data, subscription and support.
REDRAWN
– Train, History and Profile rebuilt from the ground up.
– A plan overview showing where you are in the rotation, a history with this week's facts, and a profile with your own best lift and a consistency map.
– New animations with a character of their own: numbers that count up, a pulse when a set is done. Reduce Motion is respected.
– Drawings for 136 of 146 exercises, and picking an exercise now starts from the image.
– A new app icon for everyone.
– Liquid Glass as an option on iOS 26; otherwise NAWT keeps the look you have now.
COACH WITH APPLE INTELLIGENCE (PRO)
On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence running iOS 26, NAWT writes a short note after your workout and a briefing before the next session: what you are working on today, and why. Written on your iPhone, with no network and no account. Switch it off under Profile → Training and progression.
And as before: Pro proposes a weight and a rep range for every working set, and tells you in one sentence why the proposal changed.
LOGGING AND PLANNING
– Logged sets as a clean table with their own columns for weight and reps, plus an estimate of what you could lift for ten reps.
– The rest timer now starts after the last set of an exercise too, as long as work remains.
– Swap an exercise without losing the sets you have already logged.
– Exercise search understands what people actually say: RDL, OHP, lat pulldown, Smith machine.
– Four new bodyweight exercises in the library.
– New optional reminders for your training days and your rhythm that respect rest days — and a quiet nudge when a week has slipped by.
– The Live Activity and Dynamic Island now show your next set and your progress through the session.
– The plan generator can build dumbbell-only and bodyweight-only plans (Pro).
STUDIO (PRO)
Five more accent palettes — and the icon on your Home Screen follows. Signal, the green from day one, stays there for everyone.
Plus many fixes: a quieter way to discard a workout, timers that no longer jump while you scroll, and reliable rest logic.
The logger stays unlimited and free — no account, no ads, no limits.
Feedback is welcome via Profile → Data, subscription and support.
3.2 Sep 15
A small follow-up to 3.1.
– Optional usage analytics. In the EU, UK and Switzerland you decide on first launch whether NAWT may collect pseudonymous usage data. Change it anytime in Profile → Health & Privacy. Never weights, reps, body weight, exercise names or health data. No ads, no cross-app tracking.
– Better translations in French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and German, also on Apple Watch and the home-screen widget.
– Small fixes and stability improvements in the Pro paywall and VoiceOver labels.
Feedback is welcome via Profile → Data, subscription & support.
3.1.1 Sep 5
Workout logging is now free for good.
This update turns NAWT into a complete free logger: record unlimited workouts and sets, build your own routines, keep your full history and personal records from logged sets, log sets from Apple Watch during an iPhone workout, and export your records as CSV. No account, no ads and no limits on logging.
NAWT Pro is the optional intelligence layer for adaptive weight and rep recommendations, deloads, plan generation, deeper volume/consistency insights, and personal XP and levels. Workouts and plans you already saved remain available without Pro.
Your training data stays locally on your iPhone. This release no longer uses iCloud sync; CSV export is available for your own backups. Existing Pro purchases continue to be recognized through StoreKit.
Also new:
– a short free-first welcome instead of an automatic paywall
– clearer Train, History and Profile navigation
– the calmer Quiet Strength design with stronger visual hierarchy
– inclusive muscle-map presentation and personal progress context
– migration of existing local records and plans
Thank you for using NAWT. If something is not right, contact us directly from Profile → Data, Subscription & Support.

3.0 Aug 12
This update improves onboarding and the purchase flow:
• A clearer 7-day trial: two short screens explain when it starts and how the optional reminder one day before expiration works.
• A redesigned, fully localized choice of monthly, annual and lifetime access.
• More reliable purchase restoration and clearer messages for connection or App Store issues.
• Further onboarding stability improvements.
2.2.1 Jul 16
YOUR WORKOUT. RIGHT ON YOUR WRIST.
The Apple Watch experience has been rebuilt: adjust weight and reps with the Crown, log sets, and control rest with −15, skip or +15 seconds — with a clearer layout, polished animations and purposeful haptics on every Watch size.
PROGRESS, MADE CLEARER.
• The new plateau check spots when you're stuck and prescribes a concrete deload for your next session.
• The new strength header shows your best e1RM and your progress over the last 30 days.
• Open workouts resume more reliably, with stronger saving and recovery under the hood.
2.2 Jul 12
NAWT now tells you even more clearly what to do:
• Plateau check on every exercise: NAWT shows you right on the exercise page whether you're stuck – and prescribes the deload with a concrete weight for your next session.
• New strength header in the Progress tab: your best e1RM up front, with your last 30 days as a percentage.
• Minor improvements and polish.
2.1.2 Jul 10
This update includes improvments to general stability.
2.1.1 Jul 9
YOUR NEXT WORKOUT. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN.
The new NAWT widget shows what's up next in your rotation — and how long your streak has been alive. No app launch. One glance, then lift.
TALK TO IT.
Two new Siri commands: skip your next workout and show today's plan — by voice, Shortcuts or the Action Button. And Siri now speaks German, for everyone lifting auf Deutsch.
FINE-TUNING.
– Onboarding and paywall now scale with your iOS text size
– Reliability work under the hood: errors that used to fail silently now get caught — and fixed faster
No account. No ads. Made in Germany.
If NAWT earned it, leave a rating — it counts for more than any ad budget. — Dennis
2.1 Jul 7
NAWT tells you exactly what to lift next — every set, every session. Most trackers just take notes. NAWT does the math: your next weight and reps after every set, and it catches a plateau before you do. No account. No forced subscription.
Hit 100kg×5 at RPE 8? NAWT tells you to load 102.5kg next time. That's the whole point: stop guessing, stop leaving progress on the table.
NOW ON APPLE WATCH.
Log a full session from your wrist: set the weight with the Digital Crown, log a set with one tap, see your live heart rate and control your rest timer — without touching your phone. Plus a rest-timer Live Activity on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, and start a workout with Siri, Shortcuts or the Action Button.
OWN IT. DON'T RENT IT.
Most trackers rent you access every month — and lock your own history the day you stop paying. NAWT doesn't. Buy it once and own it for good: your plans, your numbers, your entire lifting history. Or subscribe if you'd rather. No paywall interrupting you mid-set, ever. You decide.
YOUR DATA. YOUR DEVICE. THAT'S IT.
No account. No email. No sign-up. NAWT runs offline and your training data stays on your iPhone. No account means no account to breach. Optional iCloud sync if you want it — otherwise your workouts stay on your device. Built in Germany.
WHAT MAKES NAWT DIFFERENT:
– Tells you your next weight and reps after every set (progressive overload)
– Reads your effort via RPE / RIR and autoregulates the load
– Catches it when your e1RM stalls across sessions and prescribes the deload
– Builds your full training plan from a short questionnaire
PLUS EVERYTHING YOU'D EXPECT:
– Your estimated 1-rep max (e1RM), tonnage and real strength metrics
– Muscle ranks against objective strength standards + XP for every kilo you move
– Supersets, a plate calculator and a logger readable with sweaty hands
– Apple Health: body-weight sync plus calories and workout time
– Bodyweight & calisthenics count fully toward analytics, PRs and ranks
– CSV export of your entire history
CLEAR FOCUS.
No how-to videos for bicep curls. No social feed. No ads. Just the essentials, hard numbers and full attention on the only thing that matters: getting stronger. For powerlifters, bodybuilders and anyone who runs their plan and sticks to it.
