A major update: a fairer exam, 102 new questions, four new calculators and a free sample to try first. A FAIRER PRACTICE EXAM Answer options are now shuffled every sitting. Previously they always appeared in their stored order, and in that order the first option was correct far more often than the others — so the exam could be scored well without actually reading it. That is fixed, and the whole question bank was rebalanced so no answer position is favoured. Your score now reflects what you know. TRY IT BEFORE YOU BUY Take a free 10-question scored sample exam, once a day. Same engine as the full 50-question exam, including the complete answer review, so you can see exactly where you stand before deciding anything. 102 NEW QUESTIONS — 552 IN TOTAL Five topics had no questions at all and now do: additional insured, certificates of insurance, surety and fidelity bonds, loss ratio and rate making, and earthquake. Flood and NFIP, reinsurance, vicarious liability, binders, waiver and estoppel, and umbrella coverage all got deeper. A further 45 questions cover how state regulation actually works — the Department of Insurance and the commissioner's powers, McCarran-Ferguson, licensing versus appointment, agent authority, admitted versus surplus lines, guaranty associations, rate filing systems, market conduct exams and the enforcement ladder. Many questions are worked scenarios with real numbers rather than definitions. FOUR NEW CALCULATORS Loss Settlement — ACV versus replacement cost, then coinsurance, then the deductible, then the limit, each step shown in order. Split Limit Payout — allocate a multi-claimant auto loss across per-person, per-accident and property damage limits. Cancellation Refund — pro rata or short rate, depending on who cancelled. Loss & Combined Ratio — underwriting results and the rate making behind them. Every calculator shows the formula it used, so you can check the work. WHAT VARIES BY STATE A new reference section spells out which rules are the same everywhere and which are not — continuing education hours, cancellation notice periods, guaranty association limits and the exam's own format all differ by state. The app teaches the structure that is genuinely national and points you at your own Department of Insurance for the figures, rather than printing numbers that are only true somewhere. STUDY GUIDES AND FLASHCARDS Five topic guides, and the flashcard decks grew from 23 cards to 65 — spaced repetition brings a card back right before you would forget it. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE An annual plan alongside monthly and lifetime. Daily study reminders. Higher-contrast colours on scores and answer feedback. Layout that scales properly at large text sizes. A launch crash on low-storage devices is fixed, and existing installs now receive new questions on update instead of keeping whatever they first downloaded.
