Record a drive, see what's new, and add it to your .list file the way you organize it. Plus List checkup to rescue lines that stopped counting.
An independent app for travelmapping.net — the community-driven project that tracks highway and rail travel across the world. The app is made by one Travel Mapping user; the website, route data, and stats are the work of the Travel Mapping project's volunteers, who aren't involved in the app.
Browse interactive maps showing every road and rail segment you've clinched. See your progress across regions, compare stats with other travelers on the leaderboard, and discover new routes to explore.

HOW IT WORKS
Travel Mapping tracks which highway and rail segments you've traveled by maintaining .list files — simple text files listing your clinched route segments. The community at travelmapping.net processes these files and visualizes your travels on interactive maps.
This app lets you browse that data, track your progress, and keep your .list file current — select segments on the map, or record GPS road trips that match to TravelMapping routes, and the app adds the new parts to your file.
New to Travel Mapping? The app includes a Get Started guide to help you create your username and submit your first .list file.
SUPPORTED REGIONS
Travel Mapping covers highways in nearly 400 regions across 147 countries, plus rail and transit via tmrail.teresco.org.
OPEN SOURCE & COMMUNITY
Travel Mapping is a volunteer-driven, open-source project. This app reads its public API — no account creation required.
Privacy: No ads, no third-party analytics. Anonymous diagnostic data — crashes, performance metrics, app hangs, structured logs, screenshots, and short session replays — is collected via Sentry to improve app stability. Your TravelMapping username is the only identifier sent. Location data stays on your device or syncs privately via iCloud. Optional GitHub sign-in and AI suggestions send data only after you turn them on, and only to GitHub or the AI provider you choose — never to the developer.
Tips in the app go to the app's developer, not to the Travel Mapping project.
Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Turn your road trips into miles on your map.
• See what's new on every trip — the app shows which parts of a drive are already in your .list file and which are new, colored right on the map.
• Update your .list your way — new lines are placed where you'd put them (by state, highway system, or route order). Nothing already in your file changes.
• One-tap pull requests — optionally sign in with GitHub and the app opens the update for the Travel Mapping team to review. Prefer doing it yourself? Copy the updated file instead.
• Pending updates — one list of everything from all your trips that isn't in your file yet, with pull request status.
• List checkup — find lines that didn't count in Travel Mapping's last nightly update (renamed routes, renumbered exits) and fix them with waypoints checked against current route data.
• Optional AI help — use your own Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok API key for suggested fixes. Off unless you add a key and allow it, and you review every change.
• Full-screen trip map with satellite view and replay.
• New Roads filter on the map, so you can show rail on its own.
• A simpler feedback form, faster profile screens, and other fixes.
