• Rock Identifier is for entertainment. Identifications and the written reference content are AI-generated and can be wrong.
• Each photo costs one scan, including a photo that turns out not to show a specimen.
• You are responsible for what you do with any specimen: collecting, handling or removing it.
• Verify identifications against authoritative sources. Do not make health, medical, safety or legal decisions on these results alone.
• Check local laws and protected species lists before collecting — restricted or prohibited in some places.
• Never consume, handle or remove a specimen without expert confirmation and proper precautions.
• Photos are processed by a third-party AI service. Do not send images containing people or personal information.
• Some minerals contain lead, asbestos or antimony. Do not handle a specimen unless you are sure it is safe.
