Live Activities, separate iPad terminal windows, and more reliable connections. • Live Activities show connected sessions on the Lock Screen and, on supported iPhones, the Dynamic Island. Tap one to return to its session. • iPad windows each show their own terminal. Opening a host already displayed in another window starts a separate session. • After reopening the app, tapping a saved host reconnects its restored session. • With an iPad keyboard, File › New Host… (⌘N) works wherever you are in the app. • Per-host biometric protection appears only when Face ID or Touch ID is available. App lock labels reflect the authentication method your device supports. • Keep Screen On stays active while any window shows a connected session. • Local port forwards preserve data that arrives as a connection opens. • Mac: more reliable New Host, New Window, Settings, and Close Window shortcuts, with Password shown for app lock when Touch ID is unavailable. • Refined Liquid Glass controls, search bar layout, transitions, tactile feedback, and Dynamic Type legibility across the app.

A more native, easier Terminal W — plus port forwarding, jump hosts, file uploads, and a fix that keeps your hosts saved. Sessions • Switch sessions from the title at the top of the terminal, or open a second session to the same server. • Leaving a session is one tap and it keeps running in Sessions. Disconnect is in the ••• menu. • If a connection drops, a Reconnect button appears right over the terminal. • Host keys open a clear verification screen, and copying the fingerprint no longer cancels the connection. • Esc on a hardware keyboard now reaches vim and other programs. • Tap the Live Activity to jump straight to its session. Keyboard and snippets • Hold an arrow key to repeat it. Double-tap Ctrl or Alt to lock it. Paste is always in reach. • Snippets show favorites and recently used first, are searchable, and pick up {{name}} values automatically. Commands are never autocorrected. • iPad: menu bar commands and keyboard shortcuts for find, sessions, and text size. Privacy and settings • Hide in App Switcher (on by default) keeps terminal output out of the app switcher, and the Face ID lock now covers open sessions. • Reorganized Settings, a shorter host form, an Automatic theme that follows Light and Dark Mode, and better VoiceOver support. Connections • Saved hosts, groups, and snippets now stay saved after you close the app and sync through iCloud. • Port forwarding (like ssh -L) with HTTP forwards opening in the in-app browser. • Jump hosts (like ssh -J). Each hop checks its own host key. • Upload photos and files over SFTP; the file's path is typed at the prompt. • Import ECDSA and passphrase-protected keys. The passphrase is never stored. • Tappable links, copy from tmux and vim to your clipboard, terminal bell haptic, and optional Keep Sessions Alive and Keep Screen On.

Connection continuity: lock the phone, switch apps, and return to the same SSH session. • Sessions now live above the terminal screen. Leaving the terminal, switching tabs, or locking the app no longer disconnects a usable connection. • Return to Hosts, Disconnect, and End Remote Session are separate actions. • New Sessions tab plus a Return to Session control while browsing Hosts, Library, or Settings. • Verified connection health with request/reply probes. Returning from the background shows Checking connection instead of a stale Connected badge. • Network-aware reconnect that waits for a usable route and does not replay unsent input onto a new shell. • Protected SSH: guided tmux detect, attach, and resume. If the remote session is gone, the app says so instead of opening a blank shell. • Truthful status copy: Connected, Checking connection, Waiting for network, Unlock to resume, Reconnecting, Restoring session, Remote session ended.

Refined interaction ergonomics, status feedback, and form validation. • Dynamic session status tinting: disconnected and error states now display clear red indicators in the status capsule. • Keyboard-aware terminal scroll controls: floating page up/down and scroll controls adapt to the software keyboard with smooth transitions. • Inline host form validation: immediate guidance when required host fields are missing. • Two-finger cursor gesture HUD: on-screen visual confirmation of movement direction and word-skip velocity. • Host list recency & hierarchy: relative timestamps showing when each host was last active. • Responsive lock screen: optimized layout for split-screen and landscape orientations. • Enhanced search bar: match count indicator when searching through terminal scrollback. • Dynamic Type scaling for theme previews and improved key bar modifier contrast. • Polished navigation transitions and button styling in snippet selection.

Sync across your devices, plus a round of polish and correctness. • iCloud sync: hosts, host groups, snippets, and trusted host-key fingerprints now sync across your iPhones and iPads. Passwords and private keys stay in the Keychain on each device — set those up per-device. • Theme preview now matches reality: the picker renders the same 8-colour ANSI palette the terminal actually uses, so Solarized Dark and Monokai look how you expect when you tail coloured log output. • Generate your Secure Enclave public key before saving a host. Hit the new "Generate Device Key Now" button in the host form to get the `authorized_keys` line, add it to your server, then save. • Toggling Require Face ID / Touch ID on an existing host now actually re-applies the access-control gate. Previously the change only took effect after you also replaced the credential. • "Reconnecting (n/N)…" clears once the retry budget is exhausted instead of sticking on screen. • Ctrl + Alt + letter combinations now work as expected with the key bar modifiers. • Live Activity toggle shows a clear "Disabled in System Settings" hint when you've turned Live Activities off system-wide, instead of a silent toggle that does nothing. Under the hood: tighter credential rollback, serialised terminal input writes so keystrokes can't transpose under load, SwiftData rollback for host edits, CloudKit-aware known-hosts handling, and a pile of concurrency/Sendable correctness fixes.

Session resilience, rebuilt. • Foreground auto-reconnect: iOS may drop a backgrounded SSH socket in about 30 seconds. When the app returns, Weiming Terminal now reconnects automatically with exponential backoff — no more dead terminals when you switch apps briefly. • Persistent session helper: set a per-host startup command (tmux / screen presets included) and your shell state survives network drops. Drop your connection, come back, and pick up exactly where you left off. • Background grace window: iOS's short grace period is now held properly, so quick app switches keep the live TCP socket alive instead of killing it. • "Reconnecting (n/4)…" shows in the status capsule during auto-recovery so you know exactly what's happening. • Live Activity for active sessions with connection timer — visible on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. • Two-finger pan over the terminal moves the cursor without fighting SwiftTerm selection. • Command history sheet recalls your recent input globally, deduplicated. • Customizable key bar: drag-and-reorder the special keys for your workflow. • Key bar now supports Ctrl + Alt modifiers on regular keyboard input. • Theme picker previews show realistic terminal output per palette. • Host form stays legible while you type, with persistent field labels.
