Lazy Cam — Film Camera
One frame, your film look

Lazy Cam is a camera for people who love the look of film but don't want to fight their phone to get it.
Most phone cameras quietly merge several frames and sharpen, brighten, and "fix" the shot before you ever see it. Lazy Cam does the opposite: one frame per shutter press, then a film-style look layered on top — tone, color, and grain that you actually control. Your photos come out looking less like a phone and more like, well, a photo.
Pick a look and shoot. When you want to go further, open the panel and make it yours: bend the tone curve, shift colors by hue, add grain, or go black and white. What you see in the viewfinder is what lands in your library — no surprises after the shutter.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• One frame per shot — no multi-frame blending
• Six film looks built in, plus your own custom presets
• An interactive tone-curve editor
• Per-hue color and saturation, grain, and a touch of chromatic aberration
• Tap to focus, drag to set exposure, white balance by Kelvin and tint
• Switch between your iPhone's lenses and pinch to zoom
• Grid, level, and a live histogram to help you compose
• Fire the shutter with the volume button (and the Camera Control where available)
• Photos save as HEIF
• Your custom presets back up to iCloud and sync across your devices
Lazy Cam is free. If you end up loving it, there's an optional "buy me a coffee" button in Settings — no purchase required to use anything in the app.
No account, no sign-up, no clutter. Just a camera that gets out of the way and gives you a look worth keeping.

NEW EFFECTS TAB
Five new looks you can dial in live and see exactly as they'll be saved:
• Halation & Anamorphic Flare — soft bloom around bright highlights, plus
horizontal streaks across strong light sources
• Dust & Scratches — analog decay overlay for that projected-film feel
• Split-Toning — four presets that tint shadows and highlights separately
• Date Stamp — a retro corner timestamp, visible right in the viewfinder
BETTER FILM LOOK EDITING
• Editable RGB curves alongside the tone curve, for per-channel color work
• Undo history in the curve editor — experiment without losing your place
• Comparison preview to flip between your edits and the original
• New "Lazy Land" preset, plus an expanded set of RGB split-tone looks
• Chromatic aberration can now fall off toward the frame edges, the way
real glass behaves
• Reworked preset gallery: smoother sliders, clearer ordering, easier
renaming, and a tidier long-press menu
NATIVE 2X ZOOM IN 12 MP MODE
The 2x lens is no longer limited to 48 MP mode. On phones whose sensors
support it, 2x is a true 1:1 sensor read — not a digital crop — so you get
the same 2x the built-in Camera app gives you. On an iPhone 14 Pro Max
that means .5x / 1x / 2x / 3x at 12 MP. Phones with a 48 MP telephoto gain
a clean 8x. Digital zoom levels are now clearly marked, so you always know
which ones are optical.
Zoom also works in RAW mode now.
FASTER, COOLER, LONGER SHOOTS
The viewfinder used to run at double the frame rate it needed, which
heated the phone and drained the battery for no visible benefit. It's now
capped, along with several other continuous background costs.
Lazy Cam also handles heat far better. It now eases off gradually as the
phone warms up instead of waiting until things get serious — which means
the film look no longer freezes and then disappears on a long shoot.
FIXES
• The shutter no longer gets stuck disabled while the viewfinder is live
• Exposure and white balance are restored correctly after a phone call,
Control Center, or any other interruption — photos no longer come out
several stops too bright
• Tap-to-focus is more accurate and more reliable
• Your presets and settings now survive every launch
• The camera resumes properly when you return to the app
• Recent photos sync correctly with your library, and Lazy Cam asks for
Photos access at the right moment
• After deleting a photo in review, you stay on the next one instead of
being kicked out
• Pinch-zoom in photo review no longer escapes the viewer
• Effects now render identically in the viewfinder and in the saved photo
• Adjusting film controls no longer disturbs the live preview
BUY ME A COFFEE
If Lazy Cam has earned a place in your pocket, there's now an optional tip
in Settings. It unlocks nothing — every feature stays free, forever. It
just says thanks.
