Mac
Bite your nails without noticing? Nail Snitch notices for you.
It lives in your menu bar, watches through your Mac's camera, and the moment your fingers reach your mouth it snitches: a sound, a quick snapshot, and you're out of autopilot before the damage is done.
Everything happens on your Mac. Frames are analyzed in memory and never saved, uploaded, or shared.
CAUGHT IN THE ACT
• Real-time detection of fingers at your mouth, using Apple's Vision framework
• Alert sound with adjustable volume, plus an optional snap of the moment
• Gentle mode: a quiet first nudge, full alert only if you keep going
• False alarm? Tap "Not biting" and it won't count against you
• Low, Medium, and High sensitivity to match how you sit and work
STREAKS THAT KEEP YOU GOING
• Live bite-free streak, counted only while you're at your desk
• Milestones at 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours and beyond
• A daily score and an optional end-of-day recap
• Your best streak, always in view
KNOW YOUR HABIT
• History of your last 7 or 30 days, compared with the period before
• Your "danger hour": the time of day you bite most
• Which apps you're in when it happens (stored on your Mac, and you can turn it off)
• Bite-free days, celebrated
STAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY
• Menu bar only, no Dock icon, no windows in the way
• Pause the camera for 15 minutes, an hour, or until you resume
• Camera switches off automatically when your screen locks or your Mac sleeps
• Snap alerts are hidden from screen sharing, recordings, and screenshots
• Battery-friendly: it slows down when there's no hand near your face
• Works with built-in, external, and Continuity Camera
• Optional Launch at Login
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No internet connection. No data collected. Nail Snitch uses Apple's on-device Vision framework, and nothing it sees ever leaves your Mac.
