ApisSocius: Beekeeper's Buddy

Hive Inspection Log & Tracker

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Log a hive inspection in a minute, track every harvest and see at a glance which colonies need you. Now with Southern Hemisphere seasons, lb and °F. ApisSocius is a complete beekeeping journal that replaces notebooks, spreadsheets and scattered notes with one purpose-built app. Your records are probably everywhere right now: inspection notes in a paper book, hive photos buried among thousands of others in your camera roll, harvest figures somewhere in a spreadsheet. When you actually need the history of a colony, you have to dig for it. ApisSocius organises everything by apiary, hive and inspection. INSPECTIONS THAT TAKE A MINUTE Every inspection is tied to a specific hive and records weather and temperature, queen status and queen cells, sealed, open and drone brood, honey and pollen frames, colony strength and temperament, and a varroa count. Attach photos so you never lose the visual record of what a frame actually looked like. HIVE HEALTH AT A GLANCE Each hive shows green, yellow or red depending on how long ago it was inspected. In winter, hives show as wintering instead of overdue. INSPECTION REMINDERS Get a reminder 10 days after a hive's last inspection. Reminders pause over winter and return for the first inspection of spring. MORE THAN ONE APIARY Group hives by apiary and switch between them in one tap. Langstroth, Dadant, British National, WBC, Zander, Deutsch Normalmaß, Warré, Layens, top bar and more. COLONY HEALTH Log varroa counts and treatments with product names and doses, plus feeding with feed type and amount. HARVEST TRACKING Record every honey, wax and propolis harvest. Charts compare hives and show totals by season, month or any period you choose. BUILT FOR YOUR REGION Pounds or kilograms, °F or °C, picked automatically from your region or set in Settings. Southern Hemisphere beekeepers get July–June seasons (e.g. 2025/26), so a summer harvest isn't split across two years. EXPORT YOUR RECORDS Export inspections to PDF and CSV for your own analysis, your club or an inspector. PRIVACY AND SYNC Your data is stored on your device. With Pro it also syncs through iCloud, so your journal stays safe and available on all your devices. APISSOCIUS PRO • Unlimited hives and apiaries • iCloud sync across devices • PDF and CSV export • Up to 5 photos per inspection • Full statistics history The free version includes 1 apiary, up to 3 hives, 1 photo per inspection and the last 30 days of history.
