Improved user experience and bug fixes

Improved the overall experience and squashed a few bugs.

• Waypost now fully supports iPhone Duo, with improved layouts across folded and unfolded displays. • Performance improvements

Rediscover the memories behind every pin. • Tap a pin to reveal an event’s cover photo on the Blueprint, Satellite or Dotted globe, then tap the photo to explore the event. When several events share a pin, choose the one you want to revisit. • Personalize your map with new Blueprint Beacon pins and additional Satellite pin styles. • Enjoy better control when panning the Dotted globe while zoomed in. • View photos and videos full screen in landscape on iPhone. • A refreshed iPhone event layout brings together your cover photo, event details and Premium tools, with a compact Home/Travel menu.

• Improved welcome and setup • User interface enhancements • Improved layouts on iPad, in portrait and landscape • Small bug fixes • Anonymous usage and crash reports now help us improve Waypost

This update improves video playback and travel sharing: • Improved playback of slow-motion and edited videos • Improved animated travel maps • Added security and reliability improvements for maps and sharing

Explore your travels with a refreshed Satellite globe and the new Dotted view. Customize Blueprint with clouds, atmosphere glow and land fill. Enjoy improved Tour and Journey animations, including the new viewing options. We’ve also improved globe loading and navigation. Satellite, Dotted, advanced map effects, Animated Travel, Holiday Greetings and sharing with another Waypost user require Premium.

New in this version: • Improved user interface, with tab dedicated to ways of sharing your favorite moments with others • Added a Holiday Greeting maker — turn your favorite photos and trips into something to share. Pick from a number of classic or animated greetings, all created privately on your device. • Share your travels as a video — export your animated globe or map as a video and send it anywhere. • Polish and performance improvements throughout.

• Small bug fixes

This update adds a highly-requested photo organization feature and makes editing faster: • Move photos to any event — the Move Photos option now includes a full event picker with Home/Travel and year filters, not just the neighboring events • Faster, smoother editing — saves are now instant, even in large photo libraries, thanks to a new storage engine • Stability improvements throughout

General bug fixes and small user interface improvements, including: • Set any photo as an event's cover right from the full-screen photo view — long-press the photo or use the ••• menu • Photo tiles are no longer covered by a dark banner — captions now use a subtle fade so more of your photo shows

• Improvements to multi-device sync • Simpler widget setup — customize your widget's cards right from the Home Screen with Edit Widget, and pick color themes in the app • Improved importing shared .waypost files from Messages

This update fixes bugs and improves reliability

This version updates our App Store listing. No changes to the app itself.

Reliability and polish: • More dependable syncing across your devices — your events, names, and deletions now stay consistent everywhere. • Automatically restores events that may have gone missing. • Refreshed Home Screen widgets, including a new extra-large widget on iPad. • Newly detected events are now flagged on your Timeline, so they're easy to find and name.

Your library now syncs across your devices more reliably than before. Set up a new iPhone or iPad and your full history — trips, event names, home locations, birthdays, and anniversaries — comes across automatically, with no duplicates or missing events. Plus a range of stability and polish fixes under the hood.

New in Waypost 1.4.0 • Make the widget yours — long-press your Home Screen widget → Edit Widget to choose which cards appear (Event Showcase, Travel Stats, your continents) and pick a color, all without opening the app. • Event Showcase — a rotating photo memory that resurfaces a trip from this day in years past (or another favorite when there isn't one), refreshed daily. • Extra-Large widget for iPad. • Smoother on big libraries and more reliable cross-device sync — including a fix for duplicate events. Thanks for using Waypost!

• Now on iPad — Waypost is a universal app, with layouts built for the bigger screen. • Multi-device sync — your events, names, and edits stay in sync across your iPhone and iPad automatically, through your own private iCloud. No account, no servers. • Calendar naming (optional) — let Waypost borrow names from your calendar to label events for you, processed on-device. • A smoother first run, plus polish and fixes throughout. As always, your photos and data stay on your own devices.
