Your library: every file you add stays with you on this device, on every board, and your tutor can look through it to find the problem you mean. Open any file you have added to see it again.

Your tutor can now show how each step was done, right on the board: the operation written under both sides of an equation, arcs when a number is multiplied through parentheses, and a short name beside bigger moves. New students also get a short introduction from their tutor in their first session. This update also brings our App Store page up to date with Chalk's current plans and prices.

The plans page now asks Apple whether your Apple Account can still start the free trial, so the price you see before checkout is the price you pay. Plus small fixes.

A fresh new look. Your tutor now has a home of its own, with a short recap and a preview of the board from every session. A cleaner whiteboard, day streaks to keep you going, and a 7-day free trial. Plus speed and reliability improvements.

• Sign in with Apple is more reliable, and tells us what went wrong when it doesn't work. • Small fixes and improvements.

• Chalk draws while it explains. If it says it will put something on the board, it puts it there. • Hold to talk: one button. Hold it to speak, let go to send. • The board is the whole screen now, and keeps making room below as you work. • Each board keeps its own conversation, so a new board starts fresh. • Fixes a case where the tutor could not see work you had just drawn. • Fixes math losing a piece of its notation, and circles landing beside the term they meant. • Fixes alerts and confirmations that were not appearing.

• Fixes a case where a subscription bought on the App Store was not recognized by the app until the next time you opened it • Small fixes and polish • Tapping a Chalk notification now opens the right screen.

• A new opening: a piece of chalk writes the Chalk logo while the app loads • A new welcome: tell Chalk your courses and how you like to be taught before you start • Sign in with Apple or Google • Chalk Lite starts with a free 3-day trial • A cleaner plan picker and settings for your tutoring style

• Smoother typing: the keyboard rises in one clean motion — nothing jumps or shifts • Ask longer questions: the input box grows as you type • Snap a photo and crop it to exactly the problem you need help with • Fresh App Store screenshots and polish throughout • Tap the mic once and it keeps listening — watch the live waveform to know it hears you, then tap to finish

A week of fixes, all from watching real tutoring sessions: • The tutor no longer stops you right after you finish a problem. If you keep working, it keeps helping. • Slow answers now give up quickly and tell you to try again, instead of leaving you staring at a blank board. • Check marks and circles land on your actual work instead of on empty space. • Press "check my work" twice and you get a new hint, not the same question again. • Opening a new board now starts a genuinely new session.

Subscription reliability improvements: purchases now sync to your account instantly, and plan restores happen automatically. Bug fixes for phone scanning and drawing.

- New Tutor Pace control: slow down or speed up the tutor's voice and chalk from Settings - Notification support - Performance and reliability improvements

A fresh coat of chalk: new app icon and branding, a redesigned App Store page, and an improved tutor that lays out its work more clearly on the board. Plus small fixes and performance improvements. Voice now plays reliably even with the ring/silent switch off, with on-screen captions as the tutor speaks.

Polish and refinements: • Smoother, rounder hand-drawn circles and shapes • The tutor can now continue onto a fresh page instead of erasing work worth keeping • Snappier responses between steps • Refreshed App Store previews and minor fixes

Chalk 1.2 is a big one: • Completely redesigned iPhone experience — a floating toolbar, smoother navigation, and a board built for your screen • The tutor now sees your whole board on any device, so nothing you write gets missed • iPad: rotate freely — the board adapts to portrait and landscape instantly • Faster, more reliable navigation between your boards and home • Guided lessons and progress tracking polish throughout • Many fixes to make every session smoother

Chalk now works on iPhone! • Scan a math problem with your camera — it lands on the board as clean writing, and your AI tutor works through it with you • Solve on paper, then snap a photo of your work — your tutor checks every step and coaches you past mistakes • A phone-first board with a streamlined toolbar, voice tutoring, and a slide-up chat Plus reliability improvements across purchases, audio, and saving.
