Smoother everywhere: expanding the raw METAR on a card is more fluid, scrolling your favorites is more responsive, and the METAR archive opens faster. Various optimizations and minor fixes.

Small refinements: the raw METAR panel now expands smoothly, the selected airport is highlighted more clearly on the map, and map controls are easier to read in Dark Mode.

Bug fix: in rare cases winds aloft would not appear on the map after opening or returning to the app until you zoomed. They now show up right away.

Graphics bug fix: wind barbs on the map are now clearer and drawn to the aviation plotting standard.

Wind on the map, redesigned. • Surface wind is now a proper station model: the airport disc is the station circle and the barb radiates from its rim in the direction the wind is coming from, so it is always clear which airport it belongs to. • Calm and variable winds are no longer dropped: calm shows as a double ring, variable as a dashed ring — never a made-up heading. • Gusts stand out: the barb is tinted by wind strength and the gust value (Gxx) appears next to the airport; variable winds show their speed in knots. • Winds aloft now come with a forecast: pick +0, +3, +6, +12 or +24 hours and read the valid time and the model in the legend (high-resolution ICON-EU over Europe). FL300 added and level labels corrected. • The winds-aloft grid now reaches the edges of the screen, barbs step clear of SIGMETs and neighbouring pins, and if the weather service is unreachable the last valid data stays on the map instead of a blank layer.

The decoded METAR shows the observation time again — the day and the time in UTC — and now reads "Wind calm" instead of just "Calm". With AvioWeather Pro you can show an airport on the map straight from its page: the map centres on the field and highlights it.
