Document as you make
Snap a photo and Tao starts tracking a piece. Batch capture lets you photograph and name a whole shelf of work in one pass. From wet clay forward, every project carries its own record — stage, form, clay body, dimensions, decorations, and notes — building a history you'll be glad you kept.
Capture what you actually did
The details that decide a result are the ones easiest to forget. Tao keeps them: which glaze, on which zone, in how many layers; which clay body; which schedule. Apply glazes zone by zone — inside, outside, rim, foot, handle — on an interactive 3D model, so your record matches reality instead of a vague memory.
A glaze library that remembers for you
Build real recipes with full ingredient lists, cone temperature, finish, and atmosphere — then attach fired-result photos. Over time you stop guessing and start knowing: this glaze, this cone, this clay, this look. Your wins become repeatable.
Turn firings into evidence
Plan a firing with a custom or built-in schedule, load your pieces, and monitor it live. Log temperature readings, mark milestones, and calculate heatwork (cone equivalent) so you understand what your kiln truly delivered — not just what the dial showed. Every firing becomes a data point you can compare against the next.
Close the loop on every load
A guided unload walks you piece by piece: mark survivors, flag favorites, record losses. Then write a firing journal while it's fresh. This is where learning happens — connecting what you planned to what came out of the kiln, and knowing exactly what to change.
