GO! was born out of a desire to activate churches beyond their walls to impact lives and make disciples.
We began by examining the volatile landscape Jesus encountered in the first century—an era marked by Roman oppression and a divided cultural imagination shaped by multiple worldviews and theological perspectives. What we discovered in the New Testament was Jesus’ simple yet profound approach to sending His disciples to make disciples—an approach He both embodied and taught.
From that foundation, we developed a dynamic, action-based learning pathway rooted in:
+ Jesus’ sending of the seventy-two in Luke 10His final commissioning in Matthew 28
+ The practices of the early church in Acts 2:42–47
+ The sending of Paul and Barnabas in Acts 13
These early disciples were sent as makers—instruments to be played by Jesus in the unfolding of His New Creation. Whether praying by the river (Lydia), locked in jail (the Philippian jailer), or speaking at the Areopagus (Athens), small bands of brothers and sisters went—ready to do whatever the Holy Spirit inspired. In the wake of their obedience, mathetes—disciples and apprentices of Jesus Himself—began to emerge and multiply.
Now, we welcome you into this growing community of friends—those listening to the Holy Spirit, discovering their part in Jesus’ vision of renewal through GO! As we go together, may we be filled with deeper intimacy with Jesus and a greater sense of wonder. May the temperature of hope rise in our world—and may many be ushered into the new life Jesus offers.
