Version highlights: • Favorites and Recent are now fully usable. Pick any saved folder or file with the remote and it opens right away. • Smoother start for slow servers. When a stream takes too long to begin, Stream Player now downloads the file in the background and plays it, instead of showing an error. • Your server slots are safe. Switching between Slot 1, 2 and 3 while a connection is in progress no longer mixes up their settings. • Encrypted connections to home servers. WebDAV over HTTPS works with self-signed certificates and with your own domain name. Other changes in this release: 1. Shuffle and Play All now do exactly what you choose. 2. The sleep timer keeps counting after you leave the player. 3. Audio-only MP4 files no longer restart from the beginning. 4. Resumed videos continue from the right spot if playback has to be restarted. 5. Turning subtitles off is now remembered. 6. Opening a folder puts the focus on its first item. 7. The download cache now cleans up properly and handles very large files. 8. Faster launch for long-time users. 9. More accurate artwork and show information. 10. Better support for Windows domain accounts, IPv6 addresses and network discovery.

Your collection at a glance. • Collection: choose the folders that hold your films, series and music and browse them as cards with artwork, sorted into Films, Series and Albums, with a Recently Added section that keeps new arrivals in view. • Top Shelf on the home screen: continue where you stopped or jump into a fresh addition without opening the app first. • Watched tracking: finished films and episodes are marked automatically, or mark them yourself. • Artwork for folders: albums and film folders show their cover in the browser. • Optimized for tvOS 27, with improved compatibility and a smoother experience on the latest Apple TV software. • Under the hood: sturdier playlist parsing, steadier streaming over long sessions and quieter reconnects.

Queue it up, sort it out, and let records play through. Up Next, as a drawer. • Slide out your queue from the side while whatever you are watching keeps playing. Two lists: what you queued by hand, and what the open folder holds. Reorder, remove, clear, or jump to anything. Queue anything. • Press and hold Select on a file or a whole folder to Play Next, Add to Queue, or grab everything after the current item. Your queue is waiting the next time you open the app. Gapless audio. • The next track is pulled from your server while the current one plays, so music runs without a break. Truly gapless on FLAC, ALAC, WAV and AIFF. Video is never read ahead. Save a queue as a playlist. • One .m3u8 file written to your own server, readable everywhere else you play media. Ten ways to sort. • Running Order uses the disc and track numbers in your tags, so albums keep their sequence. Or sort by Name, Date Added, File Size, Format, Album, Artist, Album Artist, Year or Genre, forwards or back. Tags are read without downloading anything. Play All and Shuffle straight from the toolbar, plus steadier playback on files the system decoder will not open.

Accessibility improvements • Improved accessibility throughout the app, with better labels, navigation, and VoiceOver support to make controls and content easier to understand and use. Failures that explain themselves • A refused connection now tells you what was actually wrong: a folder name that does not exist on the server, a folder your account is not allowed into, sign-in details the server turned down, or a server still running SMB1. When it is SMB1, you get the specific setting to turn on rather than a dead end. Find shares without knowing their names • Not sure what your server calls its folders? Press Find shares and the app lists the ones your login can open, right there in the connection form. No extra screens, no guesswork. After a failed connection the correct names appear on their own. Titles instead of file names • Audio now shows the track title stored inside the file, in your lists and on the playback screen alike. Videos keep their file names, since that is how you find them. Both modes live under Track Names in Settings.

• Album art and track details for music files now come from the files' own tags, including M4A, MP3 and FLAC covers that were previously missed • The Menu button now steps back through your folders instead of dropping you out to the sign-in screen, and asks before closing the app • Cleaner, easier to read sorting and filtering controls in the browser

Smart Autoplay • If a file is corrupted, the player will automatically skip it and move to the next item. Isolated Favorites • Isolated your favorite tracks per server so they no longer mix up. Now Playing Fix • Fixed metadata rendering (title, artist, and artwork) on the system media screen. Album Art • Enhanced detection of local album graphics within music folders.

Big one: UPnP/DLNA media libraries are now supported. Flip on media sharing on your server and Stream Player spots it on the network by itself: no accounts, no passwords, nothing to configure. Prefer typing an address? The right port and service are still detected for you. Compatible with every major NAS brand and media server. Find any scene in seconds, and start watching faster. Accelerating Fast-Forward and Rewind • No more tapping hundreds of times to reach where you left off. Press fast-forward or rewind repeatedly and the speed ramps up automatically - from seconds to minutes per press - so a feature-length movie is just a handful of taps end to end. A crisp heads-up display shows the current speed and your target time as you go. Reliable Startup • Stream Player now reconnects to your server more dependably right after your TV wakes up, retrying automatically when the network needs a moment to come online. Reach more of your media - and fill the whole screen while you watch. • WebDAV connections. Stream Player now speaks WebDAV alongside SMB, so you can reach content on Synology, QNAP, Nextcloud, and most NAS boxes. Choose HTTP or HTTPS - the right port is filled in for you. • Edge-to-edge playback. A new fill-screen option expands video to cover the entire display, so nothing is wasted on black bars. • Under-the-hood tuning. Quicker artwork and metadata loading, plus reliability fixes for steadier streaming. Reach further, watch bigger.

Subtitles are here. Stream Player now automatically detects subtitle files stored alongside your videos - SRT, ASS, SSA, VTT, and more - and loads them without any setup. Switch tracks mid-playback or turn them off entirely from the new Subtitles button in the player controls. Embedded subtitles in MKV and MP4 containers are also fully supported, with your last-used subtitle track remembered per file. The playback experience has been refined throughout. Track and playlist selectors now highlight the focused item cleanly without overflowing the panel edges.

Video Compatibility • Improves playback reliability for H.265 (HEVC) on Apple TV HD. • Automatically switches playback engines if hardware decoding fails. Audio Tracks • Adds support for selecting audio tracks in multi-track files. • Remembers the selected track for future playback. Streaming • Fixes an issue where fallback could start prematurely. • Improves buffering accuracy and stability. Remote Controls • Fixes an issue where remote commands could remain active after the player is dismissed.

Resume Playback • The app now remembers your position in every file. Pick up exactly where you left off, even after closing the app or switching tracks. Shuffle and Repeat • Repeat (All and One) has been added as a dedicated button in the player controls alongside shuffle. Queue • A new queue panel is available directly in the player. Open it to browse your full playlist, see which track is active, and jump to any item without leaving the player. Connection • New Domain / Workgroup field for connecting to corporate servers or Windows-based shares that require a domain prefix.
