BTB Workout Log: Gym Tracker

Volume & progressive overload

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.

In modern training science, the two metrics most strongly associated with hypertrophy are progressive overload of volume per exercise (e.g. Plotkin 2022) and weekly hard sets per muscle (e.g. Schoenfeld 2017, Pelland 2025). BTB Workout Log is a workout tracker built to follow exactly these two — so you can tell whether the training you are doing is worth continuing. ■ "HOW MANY SETS DID MY CHEST GET THIS WEEK?" Just log weight, reps, and sets. BTB maps each exercise to the muscles it works, so weekly hard sets per muscle — chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs — pile up on their own. That question doesn't get answered by your memory. It gets answered by the numbers. ■ "IS MY BENCH ACTUALLY MOVING?" Volume trends per exercise show progressive overload as numbers, not as a feeling. No score, no grade, no black box: BTB shows the raw figures behind every conclusion, so you can check the reasoning yourself. ■ THE DATA PILES UP WITHOUT YOU REALLY LOGGING Copy last session into today with one tap. A custom keypad and last-time suggestions finish your entry in seconds. Tick sets off on Apple Watch or the iPhone Lock Screen — no unlocking, no app to open, so you never touch your phone mid-exercise. No social feed, no rest timer, no tutorial videos, no templates: we left them out to keep logging as short as possible. ■ WHAT BTB ANSWERS • How many sets has this muscle had this week? — weekly hard sets per muscle, tallied automatically • Is this exercise progressing? — volume trend charts • Can I log without breaking my rhythm? — copy last session + custom keypad • Can my phone stay in my pocket? — tick sets on Apple Watch and the Lock Screen • Is my data mine? — CSV export, even on the free plan • Will it get in the way? — fully offline, zero ads Catch undertrained muscles before they stall your progress. Balance your week by the numbers, not by feel. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://btbworkoutlog.com/privacy-policy.html

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

What's new in this version: • Weight on Apple Watch now has two step sizes: the Digital Crown nudges it finely, the +/− buttons move a full plate • Apple Watch picks up the latest from your iPhone the moment you open it, so the two stay in step mid-workout • The rest timer is now a single shared timer across iPhone, Apple Watch and the Lock Screen, started from whichever device logged the set • Fixed set numbering and ordering after deleting a set, leftover entries in the workout history list, and the axis scale on exercise charts Thanks for training with BTB — keep going Better Than Before.
