• Adds a dedicated Calibration Target capture template with guided acquisition and on-device quality feedback. • Adds preliminary on-device cylindrical reconstruction for root-tube captures with pixel-aligned unwrap, support, candidate mask, overlay, and skeleton evidence. • Fixes an issue that could incorrectly report zero usable root-tube wall views even when a complete capture was available. • Simplifies setup by allowing each capture template to select the appropriate scanning workflow automatically. • Keeps optional QR scale calibration off by default and removes the automatic pre-scan color-target prompt. • Refines multi-plant separation controls and on-device post-processing. • Improves reconstruction readiness checks, package compatibility, stability, and interface clarity.

Version 2.0.1 strengthens the complete iPhone-to-Mac 3D workflow. • Improved on-device Gaussian splat and photogrammetry reconstruction • More coherent preliminary plant-trait analysis across supported scan modes • Per-candidate measurements, convex-hull visualization, and saved crop controls • Better recognition of LiDAR-backed metric scale • Share multiple selected scan packages at once • Corrected Video 3DGS orientation and expanded 3D viewing controls • More reliable Mac handoff and clearer transfer status • Better storage checks, progress reporting, error summaries, and recovery • Performance, stability, and interface improvements. iPhone measurements provide immediate field feedback. For the most robust reconstruction and final trait results, continue analysis in the free iPhonotype Studio companion for macOS.

Version 2.0 is a major update for 3D plant phenotyping. - Added on-device Gaussian splat capture, training, library, and viewer. - Added splat-assisted reconstruction to preserve fine plant detail such as thin branches, petioles, leaf edges, gaps, and internal structure. - Added LiDAR-assisted and camera-only 3D acquisition workflows. - Added direct USB-C external SSD recording for Video 3DGS scan sessions, giving more portability between different users using the same iPhone. - Added on-device plant traits and analysis outputs*. - Added candidate flower and fruit detection in 3D. - Added phenotyping exports, animation tools, and improved Mac handoff. - Improved photogrammetry, package sharing, diagnostics, and scan-library workflows. *This may not work with uncommon plants and poor-quality scans; it is still an experimental tool that will be improved in the coming builds.

Version 1.0.6 improves the plant capture workflow and Mac companion handoff. - Updated capture template names for clearer Photoreal Splat and Spatial Orbit scanning. - Added a persistent back/cancel control during Photoreal Splat capture. - Improved Video 3DGS package preparation for Mac-based reconstruction workflows. - Refined scan metadata, experiment organization, and capture status reporting. - Stability fixes across scan capture, export, and 3D analysis preparation.

- Added Video 3DGS capture controls for stabilization and bitrate. - Improved Mac companion handoff and package export workflows. - Added bundled Mac-side analysis models for new installs. - Improved experiment/report export foundations. - Fixed fresh-install Mac companion warnings related to developer tools. - General stability, UI, and reconstruction workflow improvements.

Version 1.0.3 improves the first-run scanning workflow and capture stability. New: • Instant 3DGS Scan is now available directly from the main screen, so users can start scanning without creating an experiment first. • Capture Templates are easier to access for quick plant, object, LiDAR, and TrueDepth workflows. • The app now keeps the iPhone awake during active capture sessions so scans are not interrupted by Auto-Lock. • The Native Analysis screen has been replaced with clearer Mac companion handoff guidance for reconstruction and training-data preparation. Improved: • Balanced 3DGS now uses a faster shutter target to reduce motion blur in training frames. • Multi-camera video capture is more conservative on older devices to improve stability. • 4K capture remains available only on hardware capable of handling the higher-resolution workflow reliably. • The main screen now scrolls vertically without unwanted sideways drift. • Updated capture guidance and wording throughout the app.

Version 1.0.2 brings a more reliable capture setup across iPhone models based on real-world feedback. • Front Macro Guided 3D is now preferred on non‑Pro / non‑LiDAR iPhones for a better default capture flow. • Scan calibration is safer by default: QR-based scaling is no longer forced on, and you can define the real-world QR size before capture when needed. • Improved layout behavior on smaller and newer iPhone displays, including better title handling and less truncation. • Stability and package-handling improvements for front-camera workflows and imported datasets.

• Improved package transfer and companion connectivity workflows • Better handling of front macro datasets and 3D follow-up processing • Smoother dataset packaging for imported and captured images • UI refinements across phenotyping and dashboard workflows • General bug fixes and performance improvements
