Vitalis Provider
Anesthesia practice, one app
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Vitalis is the practice-management app built for mobile, office-based dental anesthesia providers. Run your entire day from one place: rotating office schedules, patient intake and paperwork, real-time vitals monitoring, anesthesia charting, and billing.
• See your day across rotating offices at a glance
• Collect patient intake, health history, and paperwork
• Stream live vitals from your in-office monitor, charted automatically
• Chart quickly with your preferred anesthesia targets and medications
• Collect deposits and handle billing in-app
• Sign in securely with Apple or Google
Vitalis is for licensed anesthesia providers and their staff. Patient information is protected with encryption and access controls aligned to HIPAA safeguards.
more Charts now have separate Anesthesia assistant(s) and Office assistant(s) fields; your scheduled team fills the anesthesia field.
Template doses now chart from anesthesia start, even on templates saved without a start time.
The calendar's "today" no longer jumps ahead a day in the evening.
Fixes and improvements.
1.0.19 2d ago
Live vitals charting no longer records readings the monitor was only holding.
A day's patient count now leaves out cancelled patients.
Fixes and improvements.
1.0.18 4d ago
Anesthesia considerations are easier to scan: clearer headings, bulleted details, and medication instructions color-coded by action.
The repeat patient badge now shows what happened at the last visit.
If the app can't confirm a send or save went through, it now says so instead of offering a retry that could send it twice.
Fixes and improvements.
1.0.17 5d ago
Patient drawer: anesthesia considerations show before the chart is started, and the time/status card no longer jumps.
End time: if a case runs past what the deposit covers, the app shows the overage and, once you confirm, charges the saved card or sends an invoice.
New app icon.
Fixes and improvements.
1.0.16 6d ago
Calendar: a cleaner provider picker, and the appointment drawer now shows the scheduled time.
Pre-op: a sedation/anesthesia checklist for organizations that use it.
Sign-in recovers on its own if the security check stops responding, instead of failing until the app is restarted.
Fixes and improvements.
1.0.15 Oct 16
When a vitals kit session can't start, the app now says why and offers the next step, such as Take over or End that case.
Kit messages are shorter and clearer.
On a day two providers share, the one kit that is streaming shows for both of them, and the app checks again when you start anesthesia.
If vitals are already coming in when you open a new chart, the app offers to start anesthesia at the time they began.
Anesthesia Considerations open with a Status card and list every medication in one table.
When Anesthesia Considerations are waiting on staff, the banner now says the patient's date of birth needs confirming.
1.0.14 Oct 15
Tap a drug's name or any of its cells to open one drug sheet: every bolus and infusion in time order, the dose or rate in its real unit, and a clear choice between Until ended and Ends at.
Drug times now use the same time wheel as the chart, and the wheels hold still while the monitor is sending readings.
Ends at now works on an infusion in a chart that already has an anesthesia end.
Charts opens on the case in progress, and picking a day lists its patients.
Swipe sideways to move between a chart's General, Pre-op, Intra-op and Post-op stages.
Opening the app asks for Face ID once, not twice.
Late vitals readings land in the column they were measured in and no longer overwrite a newer value.
Leaving a sent chart frees the vitals monitor, so the next case can start on its own.
The Lock Screen case card updates every 10 seconds and keeps updating after you leave the app.
Error messages say what went wrong in plain words, dropped connections are retried, and a failed refresh keeps the charts already on screen.
Signing in with an email that has no account now says so, instead of showing a database error.
Fixes: on iPad, switching patients shows the right patient's forms; the calendar loads on every iOS version; the Jump to Date picker keeps the month you are browsing; the production minimum line reads correctly; and chart screens are tidier.
1.0.13 Oct 13
Tap an office name, then Export PDF, to print or share that day's patient list.
Export a day's charts as one ZIP from the Charts tab. Export in a chart's Document actions offers this chart or the whole day.
The patient drawer's Files card can download all files as one ZIP, and each file has its own download button.
The production worksheet explains each rate, subtotals by age and payer, and shows the insurance minimum on the card's bottom line, editable in place.
In Send All Charts, tap the X beside a patient to mark them cancelled and pick the day-of-surgery reason, which goes out with the charts. Undo puts the patient back.
Accepting a 12-hour change to the anesthesia start now moves monitor readings and doses that were not saved yet along with the rest of the chart.
On iPad, implausible temperatures from the vitals monitor are no longer charted.
Switching patients while Send All is getting ready no longer opens or blocks it based on another chart, and the Scheduling month view stays usable with the keyboard up.
1.0.12 Oct 9
Providers and assistants can change a patient's status, such as Evaluation to Confirmed or Cancelled, from the patient drawer.
The production form lists every scheduled patient for the day. Patients not charted yet show greyed with an Open chart link, and the total says how many are charted.
The Day view shows the day's designations (dual provider, new office, adult office) on the office line, and each case card shows the scheduled time beside the actual time.
EtCO2 and respiration cells take "+" or "SV" as well as a number.
After a dropped connection, monitor readings win over default vitals without asking you to choose, and the chooser labels the monitor's side "Monitor".
Moving the anesthesia start later removes the default vitals before it, and a blank start time no longer fills in 08:00.
Sending charts waits longer for a slow connection, and if the send can't be confirmed the app checks again instead of asking you to resend.
Edits made before the app closed come back when you reopen the chart, and chart editing is smoother.
The calendar tells you when a newer version is on the App Store.
1.0.11 Oct 8
Assistants on iPad can now see and send Patient Paperwork from the patient drawer, and the drawer shows the adult work-up (Adult Case) the same way the web does.
The vitals grid shows every saved reading, including ones after the anesthesia end, greyed with a one-tap Clear. Setting the end time removes default fills past it.
Template doses chart at the anesthesia start, or wait for it if the start isn't set yet, and applying a template lists any charted doses it would overwrite first.
Throat-pack in and out times now sit in the Timing card under anesthesia start and end.
Send All on a two-provider day lists only your own patients, and it says so plainly when a chart's date is in the future.
5-minute vitals are labelled by the end of each window, EtCO2 can chart every 5 minutes where your organization uses it, and a monitor start refused because the chart is another provider's now names that provider.
The calendar loads faster when you change days or months, and on Mac the monitor quick-actions sheet no longer crashes.
1.0.10 Oct 7
Send All Charts now names the real reason a chart is held back, such as an office with no rates set, instead of a generic error.
Save Current as Template keeps the chart's signature, and the Live Activity card no longer shows a role label.
The chart header follows the live chart lock: a locked chart is read-only on every screen, and undo respects it.
Anesthesia and surgery end times past midnight are accepted, and the day's patient list orders by the charted anesthesia start.
Mac: a minimum window size, mouse-wheel scrolling in the case drawer, calendar keyboard shortcuts, and the monitor strip.
1.0.9 Oct 3
Chart templates now carry the charted drug doses and the NPO over 8 hours flags, with a one-time dose acknowledgement when you save.
Temperature displays in °F everywhere in the app.
The vitals band shows its source inside the band, so respiratory rate draws again on phone widths, and the Templates button shows the applied template's name.
Fixes: a restored charting target no longer holds the app lock open, and a signed-out device no longer re-registers for Live Activity pushes.
1.0.8 Sep 27
Vitals and medication entries now show up in the chart grid the moment you enter them, with a small mark on any cell still saving or that failed to save. Tap a failed cell to retry.
The Lock Screen card shows the office name and the case's position in the day, with no patient details displayed.
Pending production forms and pricing errors are now visible in the app.
Fixes: a cleared vitals cell stays cleared and its marker follows the cell, and a session expiry signs the device out of push notifications.
1.0.7 Sep 23
Medication charting: tapping a drug cell opens a focused editor, medication rows can be reordered with a drag handle, and templates keep their drug rows in order.
Live vitals numbers now show on the Lock Screen during a case, with no patient details displayed.
Faster entry: a Now button on every time wheel, weight in kg or lb, and pre-op and discharge vitals offered right from the grid.
Alarm source and age-based alarm limits are saved per provider. The calendar orders each day by charted anesthesia start.
Fixes: the vitals strip follows your monitor kit rather than the chart on screen, switching users from the lock screen clears the previous session, tapping outside a time wheel closes it, and saving a chart sends only the fields you changed.
1.0.6 Sep 23
Charting fixes: a new chart's anesthesia start defaults to the current time with AM/PM shown, correcting a start on an empty grid rebuilds the columns, and correcting it by 12 hours on a charted grid offers to move the entries with it.
Cloud vitals: the iPad now keeps trying to attach a monitor session after a Wi-Fi drop, and can start the kit session through the cloud without joining the kit's Wi-Fi.
Also in this build: the Vitalis strip shows whether vitals are coming over Wi-Fi or the cloud, the Schedule button opens the scheduling page under More, the production page says when a day simply has nothing charted yet, and the medication presets now match the web chart.
1.0.5 Sep 19
Vitals from the cloud: live monitor readings and automatic charting now arrive over the cloud, so the iPad no longer needs to join the monitor's Wi-Fi.
Live Activity on the Lock Screen shows case status and current vitals.
Fixes: the scheduling grid stays visible under the keyboard, time-off cards no longer shift after loading, and toasts and banners are consistent across the app.
1.0.4 Sep 15
Assistants can now work alongside their provider on the iPad: notes, messages, call logs, the Monitor, and chart actions for the days they are staffed. Fixes for chart text clears and autosave, signature replacement, photo viewing, notification read state, paperwork office access, and scheduling overrides.
1.0.3 Sep 8
Fixes the production form grand-total footer riding up with the keyboard. Adds crash and hang diagnostics so we can catch issues faster.
1.0.2 Sep 5
Reliability and accuracy fixes across charting, scheduling, credentials, notifications, time-off, paperwork, and billing. Adds vitals alarm passthrough with on-device alerts.
1.0.1 Sep 4
Charts now have separate Anesthesia assistant(s) and Office assistant(s) fields; your scheduled team fills the anesthesia field.
Template doses now chart from anesthesia start, even on templates saved without a start time.
The calendar's "today" no longer jumps ahead a day in the evening.
Fixes and improvements.
