Character App 1.2.5 • Star in a clip now works with almost any clip from your camera roll: vertical, square, landscape, HDR, slow-mo and screen recordings. • Pick anyone in your clip, whether they're standing, sitting or lying down. • Make 30-second takes. • Customize prompt: describe any change, like the setting, outfit, weather, props or camera, and get a new take. • Activity opens your takes in the player, with Customize prompt one tap away. • A sharper app icon and logo, plus many reliability fixes.

Character App 1.2.4 makes creating and returning to your work smoother. • Faster tab changes, clearer press feedback, and better keyboard and sheet behavior. • Keep a Character in the Playground or give them a World, with easier access to your Characters. • Finished Stories appear as one Film in the Library, with a Films filter to find them. • Clearer Film progress and improved Character portraits, composer controls, and small-screen layouts.

Add a reference Image to your own World ideas, choose models more clearly, and recover from creation errors more easily. Download and share Clips more reliably. Approve Stories directly in AI Director, follow clearer writing progress, and see improved Clip previews. This update also improves Story creation and reference uploads, preserves complete Playground scripts, and makes Turbo reference filming an optional Beta.

Your first Story is yours from the first word. • Subscribers: a new World no longer auto-writes a Story for you. Your first Clip comes from your own prompt in the composer, filmed in your World's style. • Free first World: one complete demo Story (stills plus a first Scene clip) so you can see what the app makes before you decide; the only paid door is "Film this Story (HD)". • New Playground door on Home: try an image or a Clip in one step, no World needed. • A short questionnaire on first run tunes the first World to what you actually want to make. • Faster drop into your World after a Character is made, with honest progress while the server works. • Assorted stability, playback, and copy fixes.

This is a bug-fix and reliability update. • Fixed presses that did nothing: starting a Story, opening a draft, the Make button and New World now always respond on the first tap. • Making a new World or a new Character is simpler and faster: pick the World's look, then make the Character from a picture, words, or both. • After you keep a Character, the app shows what it is making, step by step, and every World now gets its first Story. • Fixed a rare loop on first run where resuming a draft could leave the app stuck on a blank screen. • Credits and plan state now read from one place, so your balance and what you can make always agree. • Faster cold start and clearer messages when a generation is refused. • Assorted stability and playback fixes.

Smoother, faster, more truthful: instant Story presses, 8x faster cold start, honest progress everywhere, and a fully native feel. Starting a Story from a World now opens the Director right away, and the Story appears there with its progress as it is written and drawn — no waiting on a blank screen. Sign in with Apple now completes reliably when Apple returns you to the app. A Story the server cannot start stays on screen with the reason and the exact words you asked for, instead of quietly disappearing. Scene drawing and Film report problems honestly rather than appearing to stall, so it is always clear what happened and what you can do next.

Faster, clearer Story creation: recent finished and in-progress work now appears on World Home, active Scene drawing is easier to follow, narration shows the selected voice, Account and Jobs panels respond faster, and photo browsing now uses more natural swipe and zoom gestures.

Improved Director request transitions, clearer failed Clip recovery with live model recommendations, smoother Story editing, and more dependable playback, downloads, and native sharing.

Fixes a critical sign-in problem. If you downloaded charactr recently and could not sign in, this update fixes it. A backend security credential was rotated after the previous version shipped, which left that version unable to authenticate. Sign in with Apple and email sign-in both work again. Also in this update: - Create a world with the AI Director: describe one idea and it builds the cast, the look, the story bible and a first story - Track what you are generating from anywhere in the app, and leave a build running without losing it - Clearer plan and credit information before you spend anything - Navigation fixes so you are never stranded on a screen - Many reliability fixes to story and image generation
