AtlasCam
Photo & Video
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Twitch chat on your HUD. Broadcast in landscape. And a viewfinder that finally gets out of the way of the ride you came to film.
AtlasCam is a telemetry camera for rides and outdoor video: a live HUD with GPS, speed, heading, mini map, and weather, plus optional LiDAR depth on supported hardware—so your footage tells the full story of where you were and how you were moving.
Save to external storage
Plug in a compatible USB drive or external volume and save recordings where you want them—ideal for long sessions and large files without constantly clearing space on your iPhone or iPad.
Onewheel telemetry
Pair a Onewheel over Bluetooth to pull live board data into the same HUD pipeline you use for GPS. Use it while you record so your exports can show ride telemetry alongside map, speed, and environmental context—purpose-built for riders who care about what the board was doing, not just the view from the camera.
Everything else you expect
Fine-tune what appears on screen, review and manage captures in the library, and export with your layout baked in—so what you see while filming matches what you share.
Note: External storage and Onewheel features depend on connected hardware, permissions (e.g. camera, location, Bluetooth), and firmware/device support. LiDAR features require a LiDAR-capable device.

Hey @EarthPerson01001, you need to export a video with the overlays to have them baked in. Let me know if you tried that and it failed.
Twitch chat, right on your HUD
Connect your Twitch account and watch your chat scroll live in the viewfinder while you broadcast. Drag it wherever you want it. It stays on your screen only — never burned into your recordings or the outgoing stream.
Broadcast in landscape
Turn it on in Settings, or switch mid-stream from the On Air sheet. Your viewfinder stays portrait and comfortable in the hand; only the video your viewers receive is rotated. Nothing gets cropped.
A viewfinder that gets out of the way
The top row of controls now fades out on its own, the way the capture mode strip always has. Tap anywhere to bring it back. Your shot — and your overlays — get the whole screen.
Watch links your viewers can tune
Anyone watching your live link can now show or hide individual HUD widgets — speed, heart rate, distance, elapsed time, route and more — from the settings panel on the page. Their choices stick between visits.
Sharing that looks the part
Watch links now share with a proper title and preview image in Messages, Mail, and anywhere else you send them.
Fixes
• Tap the live map to open it full screen — no more hunting for the corner button.
• Panning and resizing the map overlay now tracks your finger correctly when you're riding with the phone sideways.
• Stopping a broadcast now ends your viewers' page cleanly with the wrap-up card, instead of leaving them on a frozen frame until it times out.
• Steadier orientation handling across every capture mode.
1.49 2d ago
• Live Broadcast Refinements: Broadcast your ride directly from the viewfinder. Viewers now see a seamless transition when your stream ends, and sharing your live watch link into Messages or Mail generates rich, branded previews.
• Smart HUD Mini-Map: Resize and reposition the live mini-map anywhere in the viewfinder. The grip bumper intelligently adapts to how you hold your phone so it always points toward open screen space.
• Smoother Map Gestures: Fixed mini-map gesture handling under device rotation—pan, pinch-to-zoom, and corner-resize work naturally in portrait or landscape. Tap anywhere on the map to expand it.
• Optimized Viewfinder Ergonomics: iPhone capture chrome stays locked in portrait alignment so the shutter and primary controls remain comfortably under your thumbs when shooting horizontally.
• Interactive Onboarding Tour: Easily explore and configure your HUD dials, overlays, and telemetry layout.

Live Broadcasting, Watch Links & Viewfinder Refinements
• Live RTMP Streaming: Stream your rides directly to YouTube, Twitch, Kick, or custom RTMP destinations with your real-time telemetry HUD composited onto the video feed.
• Live Watch Links: Let friends and family follow your ride in real time through a lightweight web link. Viewers see your live GPS route, speed, altitude, and board telemetry in their browser with minimal cellular data and battery usage.
• Local OBS Overlay: Streamers can now host a live, transparent telemetry HUD or full vector basemap directly to OBS or desktop broadcast setups over local Wi-Fi.
• Streaming Privacy Controls: Protect your home location with an optional start-radius geofence that hides GPS until you are away from where you started. Toggle selective metric hiding (heart rate, board stats) or hit the one-tap privacy pause anytime.
• Broadcast Live Activity & Dynamic Island: Keep track of live viewer counts, uptime, and broadcast health from your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
• Interactive Viewfinder Tour: New spotlight walkthrough introduces camera controls, HUD customization, and capture modes. Replay it anytime from Settings.
• Multi-Corner Mini-Map Resizing: Redesigned corner bumper allows smooth drag-to-resize and positioning of the mini-map across all four viewfinder corners with updated glass-morphism styling.

Lifetime is here.
One purchase unlocks every Pro capture and export feature for good — no
subscription, no renewal. It sits alongside the monthly and yearly plans,
and the 7-day free trial still asks for no card.
Your board remembers you.
AtlasCam now reconnects straight to the board you've ridden with instead
of sweeping the airwaves every launch — and if you don't ride one, it
works that out and stops looking. Scan and Forget live in Connected Devices.
Landscape HUDs line up.
Widgets now scale off a fixed reference, so landscape layouts stack and
align the way portrait always has. The speed gauge rolls its digits
instead of sliding them.
Also: cleaner map overlays in exports, and a fix for a crash when the
layout editor saved after you switched away.

Your map moves when you tell it to
• Drag the live map mid-ride and it follows your finger instead of snapping back. Let go, and it glides back to you a few seconds later on its own.
• The recenter button now stays put during navigation instead of hiding with the rest of the map controls — right when you need it most.
Directions that call the turn you're actually approaching
• Turn-by-turn was announcing one maneuver too early. It now calls the turn you're riding up on, with distances measured along the route itself so the countdown matches the road under you.
A smoother viewfinder
• The live preview runs at 60 FPS on every setting. Recording quality is unchanged — the preview just keeps up with you now.
• Focus peaking and zebras are true overlays again. Switching one on no longer swaps your live preview for a slower re-rendered one.
HUD styling
• New Looks can arrive without waiting for an app update.
• Dot-matrix type: render a widget's digits as a lattice of dots, per widget or across the whole HUD, with a size slider. The new Matrix Look turns it on with a palette to match.
• Choose your app theme — Automatic, Light, or Dark.
• Fixed a style drawer that was clipped off both edges of the screen, taking the Done button and the Looks rail with it.
Multi-cam
• Drag the floating second-camera window wherever you want it. It stays there across launches and screen sizes.
• Starting multi-cam while holding the phone sideways no longer scrambles the viewfinder layout.
3D capture
• Fixed a bug that discarded your finished scan and showed the rough capture-time preview instead.
• Scan processing is substantially faster.

Dot-matrix overlays
Give your HUD a dot-matrix look. Speed, compass, altitude, weather and the rest
can be rebuilt as a lattice of dots — apply it to a single widget or the whole
HUD from the overlay sheet in the camera, and dial the dot size in to taste.
What you see in the viewfinder is what lands in the export.
Sharper 3D scans
A trained scan that just misses the quality bar is no longer thrown away. You
get the real result, flagged as low quality, instead of quietly falling back to
the rough point cloud from capture time.
Faster 3D processing
Rebuilt the heaviest part of scan training around a counting sort, taking a
large bite out of every training pass.
Fixes
The overlay style sheet no longer runs off both edges of the screen.

Move your HUD while you watch.
• Rearrange in Relive — drag any HUD widget to a new spot while a ride
plays back. It's a way to try a layout without committing to it:
positions last for the session only, your saved layout stays
untouched, and "Reset widget positions" in the overflow menu puts
everything back.
• Photos that match the viewfinder — saved stills now keep the margins
you framed each widget against, instead of letting them drift as the
HUD scales up to photo resolution. The mini-map keeps the exact size
and shape you gave it on screen.
• Steadier mini-map resizing — the resize grip no longer stutters as
you drag it.

Cancel now works during export.
Tapping Cancel while overlays were being composited — the longest part of an export — used to do nothing, and the video finished and saved anyway. It now stops on the first tap, and the incomplete file is discarded.
Export problems are reported again.
After a single cancelled export, later failures — a full disk, a Photos permission issue, an encoder error — were silently swallowed and showed no message. You'll see them again.
A clearer look at export progress.
Every stage of an export now has its own animated indicator, so one glance tells you which step is running.
1.42 Aug 11
Cancel an export any time
Changed your mind halfway through? Cancel now stops the render immediately, at any stage, and cleans up after itself — no half-finished files left behind.
Ride detail opens instantly
Opening a ride no longer waits on a blank screen. Your route is drawn the moment the screen appears while the map loads behind it, and ride data is now processed in the background so the transition stays smooth.
A cleaner Past Rides library
Ride cards have been rebuilt: stats sit along the bottom of the map, details are easier to scan, and nothing gets clipped. Opening a ride no longer flashes overlapping controls on the way in.
Clearer export progress
The progress sheet now shows only the steps it's actually running — no more "Rendering map" on an export without a map — and the progress bar tracks the real work more honestly.
1.41 Aug 10
Brighter, accurate map overlays
Map overlays in exported videos were coming out much darker than the map you saw in the editor — around half the brightness they should have been. That's fixed. Exported maps now match your preview.
See what your export is doing
Exporting a video now shows each stage as it happens: preparing, rendering the map, compositing overlays, and saving, with live progress. Turn on "Show map" to watch the Apple Maps frames as they're captured and see how far along your route the export has reached.
Smoother overlay motion, on every plan
Map overlays now render at 60 frames per second by default, up from 24, so map movement and gauges look noticeably smoother. This was previously limited to Pro and is now available to everyone.
Importing large clips
Bringing footage in from an SD card, external drive, or Files now shows real progress and can be cancelled at any point. Large imports no longer leave you on a blank screen with no way out.
Your trim is remembered
The export segment you set in the editor now persists between sessions, so reopening a ride keeps the range you'd chosen.

### ProRes & 10-Bit Video Pipeline
* **Full 10-Bit Export Integrity:** SDR 10-bit sources (such as ProRes 422) now preserve their full color depth (HEVC Main 10) through HUD overlay composite rendering instead of downsampling to 8-bit.
* **Honored Recording Formats:** Fixed recording session presets so ProRes LT/422 and manual HDR/SDR selections are strictly respected without silent session overrides.
* **Accurate HDR Auto Guidance:** Updated settings documentation to clearly outline how iOS handles HDR capture modes.
### Multi-Cam Capture & Export
* **Secondary Angle Photo Export:** Save secondary multi-cam camera angles straight to your Apple Photos library.
* **10-Bit Multicam Parity:** Aligned multi-camera HLG and 10-bit color profile handling with the primary camera pipeline to eliminate tag mismatches.
### Timeline Editor & Dynamic Maps
* **Focused Window Scrubbing:** Scrub specific sections of the timeline rather than squeezing long ride clips into a single bar.
* **Altitude-Based Map Sizing:** Map pucks dynamic size based on camera altitude for better visual clarity across zoom levels.
* **Crisp Map Exports:** High-contrast map exports with enhanced midtone visibility and full HDR color support.
### Instrumentation & HUD Telemetry
* **Rolling Odometer Digits:** Speedometer and dynamic telemetry readings now feature smooth rolling digit transitions.
* **Adaptive HUD Formatting:** Stat columns and telemetry readings automatically scale and anchor neatly to display edges without clipping or truncation.

Auto puck size for the mini-map
The location puck can now size itself to the map's zoom instead of staying a fixed size. Pull the camera back and it shrinks toward a dot, so you can see how much ground the view actually covers; zoom in and it grows to match. Turn it on per ride in the layout editor, or in Settings for the live viewport — and what you see in the editor is what gets baked into the export.
Scrub long rides properly
The editor timeline showed the whole clip at once, which made a long ride unscrubbable — a fingertip covered minutes of footage. It now shows a five-minute window by default, with a zoom slider that steps out to the full clip and an overview rail below that keeps the whole ride in sight. Drag the rail to pan, tap to jump. The window follows playback, and stops following the moment you pan somewhere else.
1.38 Aug 3
The speedometer reads correctly at every size
At larger overlay font sizes the speed could be replaced by "…" instead of showing the number — most noticeably above 9 mph, where a second digit no longer fit. Speeds now display properly whatever size you've set the widget to.
Digits that stay where you put them
Going from 9 to 10 used to shove the existing digit sideways to make room. Digits now hold their position as the reading changes, and roll like an odometer rather than fading in and out.
Overlays that line up
Onewheel, VESC and Apple Watch stat columns can now sit as close to the edge of the frame as the altitude, location and compass widgets, instead of stopping short of them.
1.37 Aug 2
Much faster map exports
Crisp Raster exports with the 3D map are over 3x faster. A one-minute ride that took about eight minutes now finishes in a little over two.
HDR video, kept in HDR
Footage shot in HDR on your iPhone now works with Crisp Raster instead of falling back to the standard renderer — and it stays HDR, preserving full 10-bit HLG color end to end.
A clearer map
The 3D map overlay is brighter and easier to read against bright daylight footage, without washing out street labels.
Fixes
• The map widget no longer goes missing on imported rides that have GPS data, and its settings return with it in the editor.

• Refined Record Button: The record button holds its size when recording starts and transitions with smoother, more natural motion.
1.33 Jul 26
Map Zoom Control
Fine-tune your map view with the new altitude control. Zoom closer for detail or pull back for context—adjust independently for live playback and exported videos.
Smooth Motion in Long Exports
Speed and altitude readings now animate smoothly across extended video exports (4K, long rides), maintaining that crisp rolling motion instead of jumping discretely. Perfect for high-quality ride documentation.
Unified Export Quality
Phone Screen and custom aspect exports now route through the same premium rendering pipeline as full-resolution exports, delivering consistent image quality and accurate framing across all output formats.
1.32 Jul 22
Rally Arc Speedometer Choose between the classic digital display or the new analogue-style rally arc — a full gauge with animated needle, arc fill, and tick marks that move in sync with your ride in exports.
