Visit your profile to see your personal room: a bookshelf built from every book you've read, plus your completed Hot Literati Academy courses displayed as certificates. Event tickets now work directly in the app. Tap "Get ticket," complete checkout in a Safari sheet, and you're in — no redirects, no friction. Members get their discounted rate automatically. What's New in 1.5.0 Member Music is here. Share your music with the Hot Literati community directly from the Listen tab — submit a single track or a full project for review, and approved tracks go live for members to stream. Bot Literati now drops a fresh discussion question into the community channels every morning to keep the conversation going between book clubs and events. Fixed: the keyboard no longer covers the book entry field when adding a title manually. The Listen tab is reorganized — Radio, Member Music, and Podcast are now collapsible sections so you can find what you want faster.

Hot Literati is moving home. Everything that used to live on our website — the book club, member resources, event access — is now in the app. If you've been following us on hotliterati.com, this is where we live now. This update brings the full picture together: a virtual book club with weekly live sessions and a guided reading schedule, community chapter rooms organized by theme, and a host toolkit for members who want to bring Hot Literati to their city. We've also introduced a points system. Earn points for showing up — RSVPs, reading guides, monthly membership, referrals — and redeem them for exclusive merch and reading guides. There's a leaderboard so you can see where you stand in the community. Reading guides and guided journals are now available in the shop, buyable outright or with points. Music keeps playing when you close the app. Membership language is cleaner throughout. The event flow is more reliable end to end. This is what we've been building toward. Come find your people.

What's New Community is here. Chat with fellow readers in live rooms organized by topic — from general lit talk to craft, culture, and members-only book club discussion. Shop your rank. HL Bucks you earn through reading, writing, and engaging now unlock real merch — each tier reveals something new. The home screen is redesigned around what's happening in the community right now, with the editorial blog, weekly call banner, and your reading life front and center. This update also includes fixes for points syncing, rank display consistency, and a smoother reading experience throughout the app.

You can now switch between light and dark mode from your profile settings. You can also add photos to annotations Fixed a bug where finishing a book would keep you in your reading session instead of wrapping up. Your finished books also now appear in order of when you completed them. A few other small fixes and polish throughout the app.

You can now track your reading time directly from your active book — tap to start a session timer and watch the minutes add up. Annotations got a full upgrade: tap the menu on any note to edit it, delete it, or move it to a different book. No more misplaced notes stuck on the wrong title. The Explore page now lets you search for books alongside people. Tap any result to go straight to its page. The home feed has new editorial facts and rotating lines to read in the morning. Events now show the time clearly so you always know when to show up.

Mark a book as DNF (did not finish) — with an optional reason. Your DNF rate appears on the book's page alongside ratings, so other readers can see how many people made it through. The home screen now leads with what you're actually working on: your current book and writing project, with progress front and center. See reading milestones in the Explore feed — when someone hits 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of a book, it shows up as its own post. Add a page number to your annotations so your notes stay in order. Set which edition you're reading so friends comparing page numbers know if they're on the same one. The morning/evening reflection prompt now stays visible when you're in a writing session instead of disappearing the moment you start. Bug fixes and polish throughout.

What's New: A refreshed home screen that actually knows what you're up to — pick up right where you left off reading or writing, with your progress front and center. Plus a new "for right now" card with daily inspiration, including stories about writers, artists, and entrepreneurs who almost gave up and didn't. Reading sessions now wrap up the same satisfying way writing sessions do — hit "End session" for a clean close instead of just walking away. You can now delete a writing project you no longer need. A cleaner, properly branded launch screen. Plus assorted polish and bug fixes throughout.
